Walk to the beach, or sit on the on the 700 sq. ft Trex deck and see the pelicans nose dive into the surf to fish. The private outdoor shower has hot and cold running water. 'Las Palmas' has two luxurious queen size beds in the large suite-like living room and a sunny private bedroom with pillow top bed and Paul Brent flamingo tropical wallpaper with an ocean view and private bath.

Las Palmas is on a quiet street that ends at the Beach.
Note: a 20. property fee is added per night to help cover the 9% local hotel taxes that HomeAway doesn't collect for as they collect for state tax only.

The location was quiet and had amazing views. Well stocked with towels and necessities, as well as beach gear. Beds were comfortable and clean. Our only drawback was no working blender or food storage containers and the house is not level in some places making a bump in the floor. We would stay here again, though, and my children asked to come back. Thank you for the stay.

Perfect for a family get together, or even a couple. Nice kitchen, bathrooms, beds. We really enjoyed our stay, loved the outdoor shower and all of the spaces and views from the deck. Easy walk to the beach for older families and families with toddlers.

We loved our weekend at the beach! The weather was perfect and a short walk to the beach. We enjoyed many hours on the covered patio listening to the waves and watching the pelicans fly overhead! We loved the fenced yard. The house was cozy and the bed was so comfortable! The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to make your meals in between your trips to the beach. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us! We hope to be back soon!

Overall we had a great stay and I would recommend this property. We had an A/C problem right at check-in, but the host was on top of it and it was fixed right away. So rest assured that if anything DOES go wrong they will take care of it promptly!House is an easy walking distance to the beach, which was fantastic. One bedroom with an attached bath, then two queen beds and two futons in the larger living space with another bathroom. Lots of spare bedding for the futons, although we didnt use them, and lots of towels! As is typical with home rentals, there are some games that have accumulated over the years, as well as some beach stuff. This is about a 10-14 minute drive from Galveston, but there is a Dollar General right up the road if you need anything. The beach here was great for our needs— lots of other families about but plenty of room for everyone.

This home is a fantastic find on a beautiful stretch of beach and just a10 minute drive to everything you need or want in Galveston. We loved the ocean views from the deck and master bedroom. Our little dachshund loved the fenced yard, and quick walk to the beach. We couldn't be happier with the location. The home is clean, has a nice size kitchen and very comfortable beds. The owner is responsive to questions, and easy to contact. We loved our stay here, and definitely would book this home again.

Perfect location for us "older ladies". It was an easy walk to the beach. Coffee on the porch in the morning was just the thing we needed. Our stay wasn't long enough. The house was clean and spacious.

Let me start by saying, this place has great potential. I feel as though they are trying to make strides and improvements. On the positive side, the master bath had nice tile floors. The kitchen had a new fridge, dishwasher, and microwave (?). The VIEW is AMAZING!!! The host is very responsive, helpful, and nice...Which is why I did not want to leave a bad review.The shower head in the master bath was rusty, so the water had a bit of a smell. We used the shower in the living room. The living room bathroom had peeling paint and the ceiling had water stains. The microwave looked nice, but did not actually heat any food- it turned on but nothing happened no matter what setting was used. (We did tell the host about this issue as we were leaving.) The hardwood floors throughout the living room were discolored and warped. The biggest issue was that the railings on part of the deck and the entire left side (as you are ascending) of the stairway were loose and wobbly. I can walk up and down stairs, but mobility issues required the use of both railings to assist. I could not use that one, and if I had, I might have taken a tumble off the stairs onto the pavement below. We definitely did not lean on the deck railing for fear it would give way. Do NOT let children run up there. I did also let the host know about this after we left. This was a birthday trip, so I was a bit disappointed. We ended up leaving 5 days early and staying at a hotel for a couple of nights.

Beautiful views!!

This was our 5th time coming to Galveston and this place was by far our favorite! Short distance to the beach and beautiful views!! The house was exactly as the pictures showed. We really enjoyed our stayed and will definitely be staying again in the future!

I came to Galveston in 1992 and fell in love with the healing sound of the surf, the soft sand, the breathtaking sunsets, the palm trees, the Victorian Architecture, the art galleries, and the Strand shopping. My husband and I remodel beach houses and historical homes and wanted a place extended family could stay when they visit. Galveston is a cultural jewel with a rich history. We are blessed that we can call Galveston Island home.

Why they chose this property

Our family purchased the beach house as a place Mom and Dad could come stay when they visited. Mom and I totally remodeled this place to be a restful and fun place to stay with GREAT BEDS. Mom is very picky about beds... Our family has restored and remodeled homes for many years. This experience along with my interior design and art background made for a really unique and comfortable beach house. The beach has been a great place to find unique seashells and sharks teeth (but no sharks!) Palm Beach Galveston is almost like having your own private beach.

Awesome views from the huge deck. Very relaxing atmosphere. Exquisite underwater-look fish ceramic tile in the kitchen. Comfy beds with high quality soft linens. Hand painted Italian ceramic shell themed dishes, enough colorful beachy melamine dinnerware for an indoor/outdoor buffet for family and friends. French doors that open up to the deck to enjoy the morning sunrise with your coffee.
