About this property

Unicoi Pines - Relaxing Cabin Close to Alpine Helen and Unicoi State Park

Unicoi Pines is a charming 2 bedroom dog friendly cabin and a perfect choice for a couples getaway, or a family of 4. Unicoi Pines an easy 5 minute drive from the village of Alpine Helen, where there's a little bit of everything going on. Zip Lining, The Georgia Mountain Coaster, Zip Lining, to Tubing and Waterpark, for a little adventure . . . or visit the shops, great restaurants, golf, and fun activities for all ages.

This area also is home to award winning wines from several local wineries and vineyards. If craft beer is more your style, Tantrum Brewing Company, Georgia's first agritourism brewery, with locally grown hops!  Try a beer flight for taste of styles and textures.  Another local favorite, The Jumping Goat, offers delicious coffees, teas, and locally made Honey Meade.

Unicoi Pines is just moments from Unicoi State Park, with more zip lining, hiking, fishing, beach, boat rentals -- and the jewel, Anna Ruby Falls.  The mile paved pet friendly walk to Anna Ruby Falls is a must do anytime you're here.  Kayaking, canoeing, or paddle boarding on Unicoi Lake is always a hit!

Unicoi Pines is also a quick drive to Batesville, which offers a totally different vibe than Helen.  The Batesville General Store is fantastic for breakfast or lunch, and then a trip down the Scenic 197 to a local favorite, Mark of the Potter!  The pottery is located on the banks of the Soque River -- the setting is gorgeous, the trout are huge, and the crowds are minimal.  It's another must do when you visit.  You won't be disappointed.

What are you waiting for . . . come on up to Unicoi Pines!

Cozy Cabin
We loved the charm of this cabin and how cozy it was nestled in the woods. We had a wonderful time with our family and loved the proximity to downtown Helen.

Great Cabin
Had a great visit, all the basics were covered with the rental. Do wish there was basic cable, but it was advertised as streaming only. Had a great vacation and would return.

Cute
Cabin cute already decorated for Christmas. The road to cabin is not marked at all. Should put a sign on dirt road so no confusion or draw a map to make it easier to find. Upstairs fan did not work but still had a great time. Thank you for early check in.

Disappointing.
Absolutely, no privacy. The bed rooms are wide open. Even the one by the kitchen. The sauna leaks. The deck has holes in it and loose rotting boards. The gas fire place has no exhaust so it is inoperative. The access road is not maintained, eroded gravel, that is rutted. The door on the bathroom does not shut without forcing it and the cabin siding is rotting with insects that woodpeckers are attracted to so forget about sleeping in. Security lights cannot be turned off so bring some foil and tape for the windows if you sleep in the dark. Do not stay here unless you enjoy disappointment.
