Alpine Helen is the tourist hot spot here in the Mountains of North GA. Visit us in the fall for the world’s longest running Oktoberfest. Helen, GA is centrally located to Hiawasee, Blairsville, Dahlonega, Ellijay, Sautee Nacoochee, Lake Burton, Lake Vogel and Brasstown Bald, the highest natural point in the state of Georgia. North GA is also known for its Great trout fishing, zip lining, tubing and wines tasting. Visit Three Sisters, Frog Town, Wolf Mountain and Habersham Wineries just to mention a few.
Our cabin has easy access to all Helen has to offer and is a short walk (1/4 - 1/2 mile) for shopping, dining, bars, tubing and water Park. They also offer go-carts, horse rides, hiking, biking, kayaking, mountain roads, views etc within a short drive. The cabin is private and semi-secluded with plenty of parking space.
North Georgia also has abundant wildlife, many hiking trails, lakes, rivers, and waterfalls. Enjoy the mountain Laurel in the Spring, the colorful foliage in the fall, warm mountain air in the summer and maybe even a touch of snow in the winter months.
Experience the best of the North Georgia Mountains by staying in this cozy 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom cabin. Room to comfortably sleep up to 4 guests, this home is the perfect size for a family mountain getaway.
The cabin comes with a fully furnished kitchen and bedding. All you need to bring is your personal items and food. We have Roku tv and WiFi.
After a fun day of taking in all Helen and North Georgia has to offer come home to relax around a campfire and gaze at the stars while enjoying your favorite beverage.

Great little cabin

Great place to stay if you want piece of mind and relaxation. Close to town but far enough not to hear the main road. Place was clean and well stocked with everything you would need. This was our first VRBO rental. If we head up there again we hope this cabin will be available.

My family had a blast in Helen and this cabin made it even more enjoyable. Due to the summer season, there was a lot of traffic but this cabin was near everything so just a short walk and you were there. Thanks for everything, we will be back!

Our Stay

Good: The location was very nice. Close to town. It felt very private even though the cabins are very close to each other. Bad: The cabin was not clean and smelled really bad and got worse the more we showered and used the bathroom. Our sheets would not stay on the bedroom bed and after pulling out the pull out sofa you could see a lot of dog hair on it. It had not been vacuum in a long time. I would not stay here again.

Very nice.

The cabin was very nice and in good repair, except for the bathroom. The toilet would need a 'handle jiggle' nearly every time you use it. I read the cabin journal and it had the same issue as far back as spring, 2022. We enjoyed our stay and the cabin was filled with alot of extras, such as a gas 'old fashion' heater and a hot tub. There was also a gas grill on the porch and a big table with chairs. The kitchen had an ample array of dishes and cooking pots and pans. The only negative there was, the oven was VERY dirty, lots of baked on droppings and spills. Who knows when it was cleaned. The cabin was close to main street and all that brings. All kinds of shops and places to eat. Over all, it was a GREAT place to stay!

Cabin was clean, cozy and comfy. Perfect size and location for a girl’s trip with my daughter. We enjoyed our stay, especially the hot tub. The location was far enough from downtown to be quiet and secluded which is exactly what I was hoping for. It is a walkable distance to downtown, but we chose to drive and park downtown so we didn’t have to walk alone after dark (two women). Loved sitting on the porch taking in the wooded scenery, relaxing in the hot tub. Lots to do in the area. Tubing, horseback riding, great food and shopping. Communication with the host was timely, clear and precise. Overall great experience and would book again.
