With full view of the quarry and a screened in porch this is the perfect getaway for someone, or a couple seeking solitude and comfort on the island. There is a full kitchen with conventional oven, microwave, refrigerator, as well as a full bathroom. The East Boston Quarry is a private quarry, while no swimming is allowed there is public swimming holes at the Booths and Lawsons quarry located nearby. Guests are welcome to fish during their stay so long as they possess a fishing license.

Good solitude

Location was quiet, the house could use a kitchen table and some lamps for card games/reading.

Beautiful Property, listing needs updating

The biggest issue with our stay is that the listing said the property sleeps 3, with one bedroom and a sofa sleeper. My co-worker and I arrived late in the evening tired and ready for bed only to find that the property has no sofa sleeper, and just one double bed. I am an older woman, and I can not sleep on a couch. The property manager brought me a cot, which was better than the couch... but still... a cot. If you are one person or a couple who doesn't mind a cozy bed, this is a great little spot. Clean and new and quiet and a lovely setting. But this property does not sleep 3. We were mislead by the listing.

Cute cottage hideaway

Communication with the property manager was excellent throughout. Very cute cottage tucked away from it all but a short walk to get downtown. We walked into town every night for dinner. Sitting out by the water having coffee and watching the birds was very relaxing and the stargazing at night was amazing! Definitely would look to book again next time we are on the island!
