Cozy River Retreat-Gorgeous river views!

Come stay with us on the picturesque Allegheny River in the historic town of Franklin with private river access! Feel at home with our fully equipped kitchen, organic coffee, quality linens. Shower essentials provided (shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. Sit on the deck and enjoy nature, have a fire (wood provided), read a book—there’s something for everyone! Downtown is just minutes away, offering shopping and dining. For cycling or kayaking, the Samuel Justus Bike Trail is a few minutes’ ride, and Oars Kayak Tours is steps away.

Peaceful location on a dead end street, with your own private deck overlooking the Allegheny River.

The home consists of an upper and lower unit, this is for the lower unit only, Guests will have sole access to the lower level of the home with its own entrance and parking. The lower unit does not share any walls with the upstairs. Only shared space would be the backyard along the water in the yard. The yard does have two fire pits. Firewood provided for your convenience.

Stocked kitchen with everything you need to cook a meal, your own washer/dryer, private deck with a grill. Enjoy your morning coffee with the gorgeous river views. Comfy queen bed for a good nights sleep and attention to detail throughout to help you have a pleasant stay!

Take a Kayak/Canoe tour with OARS who is steps away and will provide you with all your kayaking/canoeing needs. Peddling, bring your bikes and hop on the Samuel Justus Trail a 4 minute bike ride away. In town for an event or festival, or just wanting to explore what the area has to offer this is the perfect location.

There are no stairs, a ramp for entrance, and is handicap accessible throughout, including railings for toilet and shower, message us if you have any questions.

Quiet little gem on the river

We had a great stay at this ADA spot right on the Allegheny River. It offered a good ramp for my husband’s wheelchair and a nice big bathroom with ADA sink and grab bars. Shower has a built in bench—all helpful. Unit was clean, communication was good, and outside deck was wonderful!

Outstanding! We loved the place. Top notch everything. Stocked with quality kitchen items. Very nice view of the river. The blow dryer, shampoo and other bathroom items were very nice. Didn't have to worry with bringing that stuff. The bed was very, very comfortable. Unfortunately, we didn't take any pictures of the place. Hope to always stay there when we come!

Absolutely perfect for what we wanted!

We're two older adults who needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of our lives to reconnect with one another. We could not have chosen a nicer place. Beautiful small home with large rooms, fabulous kitchen furnishings, comfortable bed and right beside the Allegheny river. The weather could have been warmer and sunnier, but we don't blame our hosts for that.

New Year's Eve in Franklin

Wife and I had a wonderful time in Franklin over New Year's Eve. Town was decorated beautifully, and everyone we met was so nice.The unit we stayed in was absolutely perfect for the two of us. Very clean and well apportioned. Also appreciate that all the kitchen cabinets and drawers were labeled - which made it easy to find things. If the weather had cooperated, I would have had a campfire and sat outside watching the water flow by.

River view get away

The location was nice, a little loud because of the road across the river, but that couldn’t be helped. The apartment was cozy, clean and well stocked. The only issue was noise from upstairs. The first night it was peaceful, the second night the noise started. They did quiet down around 11 pm. However, the noise started at 5:45 am - an effective alarm clock. With all that said, I would consider this location again

Perfect Place for Weekend

The unit was extremely clean and thoughtfully furnished. Very comfortable bed with nice linens and well-stocked kitchen. The cabinets were labeled so it was easy to find what we needed - and easy to put something back where it belonged! The weather did not cooperate so we were unable to enjoy the deck, patio furniture, or outdoor firepit. The house is about a 10-15 minute walk to the main downtown area. All the streets have sidewalks and it was very nice walking through Franklin and looking at the variety of architecture. After a day of being out and about, it was so warm and welcoming to come back to our river retreat. Highly recommend and definitely hope to stay again!
