Immerse yourself in the natural wonder of the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge, where you can catch rare glimpses of migratory birds. This coastal oasis, just west of Gulf Shores, encompasses over 4,000 acres of diverse habitats, including beach dunes, scrub dunes, freshwater marshes, saltwater marshes, and maritime forests. Part of the central Gulf ecosystem, the refuge is a crucial stopover for the iconic monarch butterfly migration and home to more than 120 bird species, making it a birdwatcher's paradise.

About the host
Hosted by Cheryle/Owner

We have been coming to the Gulf Shores area for over three decades. Our family, which includes two boys and a granddaughter, all share a deep love for the beach and fishing. It has long been our dream to own a home in this beautiful coastal region. In 2009, we fulfilled that dream by purchasing our first vacation property. Since then, we've expanded our portfolio, now owning a total of four rental homes, with two located near our initial purchase and one situated directly on the bay. We also maintain a personal residence just a few miles from our beach houses. Given that our primary home is only about a 4-hour drive away, we're able to visit the area frequently and look forward to sharing this cherished coastal haven with others.
Why they chose this property
We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation stay in the neighborhood across the street, and decided this was the perfect location for our vacation home. In 2009, we purchased this home which was our first property here. Then in 2015, we designed and built a new home next door to this one.. Just last year, in 2022, we purchased and completely remodeled a bay front home. And most recently, in 2023, we designed and built a new home just a few houses up from this one. We look forward to one day retiring and making this area our permanent home.
What makes this property unique
This charming home is located on a peaceful street, making it an ideal choice for families. Pets are also welcome in this area, as they are allowed on the beach as long as they are leashed. The property boasts an open lot in the back, providing beautiful views. Additionally, we own the adjacent home.
