Relaxing time by the river

Very welcoming- we enjoyed our coffee on the deck and having the fire pit prepared for a great time right by the river. Lots of space and lots of laughs playing foosball in the game room.Wonderful time thank you.

Most relaxing vacation ever

House was super clean, host included everything you would need. Beds were extremely comfortable, it was very quiet and beautiful. Probably the most relaxed I have ever felt.

Comfy house with nice amenities

We really enjoyed our stay at the river house! The house had everything we needed for our stay to be comfortable. We especially loved the fire pit in the backyard for s’mores and the bumper pool in the basement.

The Perfect getaway that everyone needs!

Beautifully decorated home with all the amenities for a relaxing stay. The kitchen was well stocked with everything to prepare home cooked meals. Games, outdoor activities and many places to just relax and enjoy family time. Great pet-friendly amenities too from pet bowls to treats. We all felt welcome and relaxed. Great little escape!

Love this property- such a nice spot to get away! It's on the river and has a huge backyard. We had a group of friends hanging out for the weekend and it was perfect. We grilled, played yard games, and enjoyed our time by the river! Would absolutely recommend!

Perfect Little Getaway

Our family really enjoyed our stay over Labor Day Weekend. We were looking for a quiet low key getaway and that’s exactly what we found. Perfect spot on the river and shallow enough for the kids to play in. Large yard for outdoor activities. Inside was clean and had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

Family fun!

Our family had such a fantastic time here! Started with an early check-in, the house was clean, recently remodeled, and well equipped. There is plenty of room for the whole family. There is a big yard for kids and dogs to run around, with multiple seating areas both inside and out. The house is just minutes from Pittsville and Lake Dexter, but still has great country feel.

The host was very attentive at checking in. The home and property was absolutely beautiful and immaculate. I was awestruck by their attention to detail to ensuring you wouldn't miss a thing while you were away from home with anything you could think of needing.

Peaceful retreat

Peaceful location despite being just off the highway. Enjoyed walking in the river. Loved the ice cream from the local ice cream shop. Enjoyed Friday fish fry recommended by the owner. My husband took many pictures of the local bald eagle. Loved the campfires each night. A nice place for our annual family weekend.

lovely house on a river

We had a great vacation in this lovely house right on the river! The house is comfortable, clean, and very well-stocked. They had everything we needed for our baby, toys and activities for our toddlers, and lots of games for the older children as well. The fire pit overlooking the lake was also a favorite. The house and grounds were even better than the photos. Thank you!

PERFECT Stay!

The home was super clean, MUCH more spacious than we even realized, and impeccably decorated for fall - it was very festive! We enjoyed a fire both nights, took photos by the river with the fall colors behind us, and spent many hours laughing and playing games. There were a ton of special touches like coffee pods, a s’mores kit, the fall decor, plenty of extra blankets, fire starter, etc. We booked the stay for a sisters weekend and were more than happy with the property, we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again! The instructions on both check-in and check-out were clear and we had a great time, thank you for sharing your property with us!

Girls weekend

We have been doing these weekends twice a year for awhile. And using VRBO properties. This one is now a #1. The owners have gone above and beyond to make the stay wonderful. We had a little issue with the ice machine. And they were there pretty quick.. and Ice we had! We will be back!!

Amazing!

The property is spotless. Great updates throughout the house and all seemed to be brand new, pots, silverware, dishes. House is very well equipped, it had all we needed and more. Very nice touch with smores and available burning wood. House has a great peaceful location by the river. Our girls enjoyed the swing on the tree. We spot family of turkeys, deer and Eagle Bennie :). Overall we are very satisfied with our stay! Thank you for hosting us.

Family fun at Riverhouse

Our family of four plus our dog had a wonderful stay. The home was clean and comfortable with all the amenities to entertain us during the rain and sun. The backyard along the river was the best with a fire pit, tree swing, plenty of space to play with our dog, and beautiful scenery. We enjoyed exploring the river and playing cards and board games inside during the rain. Perfect spot - close enough for outings nearby and nice and quiet at night. Bonus features included full access to the garage, the s’mores kit, and the scavenger hunt activity (we even spotted the bald eagle flying through the river bed!). We’ll definitely be back!

Amazing Riverhouse Retreat

This was the most adorable and complete VRBO we have ever enjoyed! The owners truly thought of everything! The house was adorable and extremely spacious. It is nestled right next to the river with beautiful outdoor space. My children loved exploring by the river, playing with the dog in the yard, and swinging on their swing. Everything in the house seemed brand new and extra clean. We appreciated the amount of information that was left and the guides on what to see and do during our stay. The owners provided so many added perks; from coffee, s’mores fixings, to cranberry snacks. We loved our fall weekend away and can’t wait to go back again soon!
