Just a short drive from St Louis to Bourbon Missouri and you can get away from it all. Located on 40 acres you can enjoy a peaceful property overlooking open meadows, running creek, wildlife and your own spring fed lake. Blue Springs Ranch is close by where you can swim, canoe, horseback ride and enjoy other activities. In Bourbon you will find a coffee shop, restaurants , health food store, bicycle shop, grocery store, and ice-cream parlor and other small town stores. The chateau has a large covered porch where you can view wildlife, watch geese sit on the porch swing or hang out around the fire pit on a cool evening. Take a hike, feed the fish or just relax. This property is wonderful. It had everything we needed and more! We stayed 3 nights and had all the comforts of home in a beautiful setting. We cooked ourselves breakfast each morning and loved the cookware so much we may buy some. And we had enough towels for a family of 4 to not have to do any laundry for 3 days. The frontage property was so beautiful, we used as a backdrop for some fall family pictures! Would recommend over and over !

We were in Bourbon, MO for a wedding at the Blue Springs Ranch. This place fit the bill and when we pulled up and walked in, I realized this was one of those rare places where the in-person experience was better than even the photos! You feel like you’re in a Joanna Gaines Fixer Upper designed house with every single detail thought out. Quality linens, a porch swing that you would see on Instagram and an even larger outdoor luxe living area. We were so grateful to have this oasis of peace and beauty to come back to as we did all the wedding stuff. HIGHLY recommend.

Fantastic Rental

We stayed at the Chateau for a fall weekend. It was beautiful inside and out. Too many amenities to mention. Communication with Christie was great. Beds were comfy. Attention to detail makes this home a wonderful place to visit.

The Hidden Gem

This was the third consecutive year our group of friends stayed at the property for our annual trip. This place is aptly named The Hidden Gem! We enjoy this location so much every year. Very quiet area with tremendous amenities. The owners are terrific and very responsive. Another great stay!

Hideaway Haven!

Wonderful property to get away & relax. The pictures don’t do it justice. Boundless amenities-very clean-and decorated like it should be in a magazine! The hosts thought of everything from the inside out ! Swing on back porch overlooking the lake was brilliant! So comfortable & Cozy. We will be booking again ! Beautiful property. Great for a weekend with friends!

The property is beautiful and just what we needed. 6 of us stayed for the weekend and floated through Blue Springs Ranch just down the road. We’re thinking about turning it into an annual trip! The house had everything we could have needed!

Pictures do not do this property justice! Its absolutely beautiful! It is very comfortable, clean and efficient. The setting is perfect. The house is beautiful. Highly recommend staying here!

Truly a hidden gem!

We love every minute of our stays here. It’s beautiful to look at inside and out, and is such a relaxing environment. This trip I traveled alone with 3 kids and most importantly felt safe, but I also appreciate that the hosts allow you to feel like you’re on vacation. Some vacation rentals are sparsely stocked, have complicated check-in processes, are hard to contact, or have a long list of check out processes, but not here. I was able to relax, unwind and have a stress free experience from start to finish.

Beautiful!

I can't say enought how amazing the property was. The cabin was gorgeous and so beautifully decorated! The view of the lake and the carezza was our favorite part! We enjoyed it so much. A relaxing mini vacation and perfect spot for a low key family weekend after my son spent his summer at Basic Training. We will definitely be back!

The perfect getaway

My family and I booked this property as a home base to float locally and it far exceeded our expectations. The home is perfect in every way. The attention to every little detail made our stay effortless as well. The outdoor swing, and multiple fireplace options were where we spent our time most. The huge yard area was perfect for playing catch, wiffleball, frisbee, or just hunting for lightning bugs. The pond onsite is such a relaxing view and our children had such a great time feeding the fish. We really made some great family memories and i am thankful to have been able to spend pur time here. The hosts are top notch m, incredibly responsive to questions and overall thoughtful. We are already planning next years stay!

Beautiful Chateau

I truly do not know where to begin. The amount of work put into this home is unreal. It’s not called “Jones Hidden Gem” for no reason. Truly a little slice of Heaven. Christie and Tracy were so good to us. We fished, explored the property, and spent A LOT of time enjoying the back patio. If you are looking to disconnect from the outside world, this is the place for you!

Perfect getaway

Absolutely amazing home. From the moment you park your vehicle you can already feel the everyday stresses melt away. The view from the back porch was incredible! The leaves were starting to change so it really felt like fall was here! Sitting on the swing in the mornings with coffee and a blanket was hands down my favorite part for my mother and I. My brother and nephew enjoyed cooking on the grill and feeding the fish. The wildlife here was an absolute joy to watch, the wild turkey and deer. Something we don’t get to see everyday living in a city. Can’t wait to return for another city life detox ;) Thank you again Christie for checking in on us and making sure we were all squared away.

Dream living!

When we came across this listing we immediately booked! The pictures are beautiful but do not even do justice to how stunning this home truly is! Christie, the owner, was more than kind to us and made us feel at home! She was very easy to contact. The porch is GOALS, that's where we spent most of our time. Deer would get very close to us at night while feeding on the land, which made for lovely scenery! Our kids loved feeding the fish in the private lake. None of us wanted to leave. It was such an amazing vacation spot to call home for a few days. Definitely reccomend, steal of a price for such a quality stay! Beautiful decorating skills with more than enough amenities! THE BEST VRBO EVER! & THE BEST HOSTESS EVER

Perfect. That is the only word that could describe this property and it’s hosts. I can’t think of anything a person could want that this property does not have. It seems like when I stay somewhere I always wish they had this or that. Not here!! They had EVERYTHING! The property was beautiful and tranquil. I met a group of friends here for a three night stay. They had corn hole boards for outside gaming. We had a fire in the outdoor fireplace. Sitting in the porch swing, looking at the lake while drinking morning coffee could not be beat. We also enjoyed small town USA be visiting the “Town Tavern” (yes-actual name). The hostess had fantastic communication and made sure we had anything we needed to enjoy our stay. I hope I get the opportunity to visit this property again!!

Dreaming of our return

The pictures of this home do not do it justice...it is much, much better, and it far exceeded our expectations! These were some of our favorite things: * Sitting on the porch looking out at the pond. * Reading a book and drinking coffee on the cozy swing. * Building a fire in the outdoor fireplace and roasting hot dogs and marshmallows while looking up at the stars. * Walking down to the pond and watching the fish and turtles; we appreciated the bucket of fish food provided by the hosts. * The large walk-in shower with the amazing shower heads, one being a hand-held option. * The gas fireplace inside was very relaxing. * The jug of natural spring water in the refrigerator was refreshing. If we have to list something that could be improved... * We could not find any tissues * We could not get the fire pit table to light. There are so many more things that we enjoyed about this property, and we fully intend on booking it again! Also - thank you for the delicious muffins!
