We very much enjoyed our stay! Timothy and Samantha’s home was even better than described. They were also very quick to respond to any inquiries we had while on the property.
Family style home perfect for a central place for friends to gather. The hosts are so nice and everything you could possibly need is there! Close to downtown too
Perfect place for a wine tasting weekend! Comfortably slept 11 adults, we did a wine tasting bus trip where they were able to pick us up from the house.
I came up for a girl’s trip to do wine tasting, this place has an ideal location to many wineries, Tim helped us arrange a private driver for the day! Home was perfect with plenty of space for the 8 of us to not feel crowded, and the well stocked kitchen was a huge plus! We will be staying again!

So happy you guys enjoyed your time and thank You for being out first guests!
We rented this house for my mother’s 60th birthday and were not disappointed one bit. The house was very beautiful and clean! The hosts were very helpful and made sure that we enjoyed our stay! Would definitely recommend for any getaway.
Four generations of family drove up for a wedding. Our host family made things very easy for us. The home we stayed in was wonderful, calm scenic, and everything we hoped it would be. We will be returning.
host was awesome at communicating-- house was BIG and beautiful. very secluded!! very close to all our favorite places-- Traverse City-- North Bar Beach-- Sleeping bear Dunes! I highly recommend!
We stayed at this property for a girls' weekend. There were 12 adults, and it is an extremely spacious home. There was plenty of room for everyone to sleep comfortably and spend time together. The kitchen, dining room, and living room were all open and spacious. We spent a lot of time hanging out there. The hot tub and fire pit outside were a great addition. We highly recommend this property and had a great time. We would stay here again with a group this size.
Great hosts, great home, amazing location, perfect MI getaway spot!
Beautiful home, incredibly close to Long Lake, Lake Michigan, wineries, minutes away from Traverse City downtown area, sitting on 9 acres, providing you with plenty to explore around it! My wife and I had a blast, and definitely will be coming back. Also, Tim has been a great host, extremely helpful and prompt to respond and address any of our questions. Thank you again!

So happy to have hosted you! Hope you stay again soon!! Excellent guests!
We booked the house for 12 adults to have a surprise birthday celebration for my sister.. The house was amazing, big and beautiful. We loved walking out in the garden and picking what was ripe. The fire pit was great to enjoy the brisk cool nights. The location was perfect as it was enough out of town for privacy but close enough to to town for pickup for a local wine touring company. If we are ever in the area again we will for sure boom this house!

We are glad you enjoyed your stay! We too love the garden and are thrilled you did too! Hope to have you back soon!
Excellent location just outside of Traverse City. Perfect area to relax and enjoy the outdoors, while still close enough to all of the activities. In all honesty, I don’t believe the pictures do it justice in regards to all of the amenities provided for larger groups. Kids enjoyed the basement with games, while the adults could relax by the fire pit. Only real issue was shower coordination for 11 people with only two full bathrooms. Thankfully there is a 1/2 bath in the corner of the laundry room. The communication with the hosts was easy, as any issues or questions were resolved/answered promptly.
Highly recommend!
We had such a great time at this property! There was plenty of space for our group of ten. The house is very open and spacious. The kitchen had a lovely open concept kitchen with tons of seating, with a peninsula and a giant table. We enjoyed the large sectional couch in the living room as well. The bedrooms were huge, with comfortable beds. We were able to arrange a wine tour company to pick us up right from the property. Tim was amazing and very responsive to our questions. We would definitely stay here again!
We had a wonderful weekend at this property! Everything was just as expected. We enjoyed the fire pit a lot and had plenty of seating inside the house and out for our party of 8. The only suggestions I would have is there was only one roll of toilet paper(not full rolls) per bathroom so we ended up having to run out and get more and there were also not enough towels for every person. Not a big deal at all, but just wanted to make a suggestion. Thanks for the great stay!

We are excited to be hosting you at our family northern Michigan home and we hope you enjoy the property as much as we do! We love to travel but for us this area is our happy place, it has so many things we just love! We have a young family so you will find the home well-appointed and prepared for little ones. Tim is a native Michigander who grew up spending summers up north. We love the outdoors and often spend time camping, hiking, canoeing, fishing or just chillin' on the beach. Samantha loves to relax and get away; the seclusion of the property, the beaches, and wineries nearby are her favorite. We particularly love growing and picking fruit, as you will see there is a mini orchard on the property, but also the area is filled with fruit picking opportunities all summer, from strawberries in June to cherries & blueberries in July to and apples in the fall.
Why they chose this property
If you are unfamiliar with Traverse City area, there are opportunities everywhere for the outdoor enthusiast and if you love wine, you will also love the area, with many wineries within a 5 to 30-minute drive.
We like the size of the home and for us it is perfect to have another family up or our parents to enjoy it with us as there is plenty of space for all to not feel crammed. and we think you will enjoy this as well.
The home is in a super nice west side location, close enough to town to take an uber or drive the 10 minutes, but also fairly close to sleeping bears dunes or fish town and not too far from crystal lake or Interlocken.
One of our favorite actives is the summer farmers market in Traverse City, we always buy the natural honey, it is amazing if you like that kind of thing, and the fruit is amazing with lots of varieties and very fresh!
The food scene in Traverse city for us is perfect, we suggest Little Fleet, Hop Lot Brewing, Jacobs Farm and Farm Club for kids, Boathouse is nice for adult night out. Filling Station is also perfect for kids with train tacks right on site. You can not forget our favorite Moomers- our all-time favorite ice cream spot overlooking the cows!
What makes this property unique
It has to be the 9 acres, all wooded with some trails to explore, it is hilly as well which is cool for kids to explore. Also as mentioned the home orchard is pretty cool! Basement game room will be a hit with the kids!
