This place was a prime location. Very clean and cozy apartment. We watched the fireworks right from the back enclosed porch which was such a treat. The owner was super nice and communication was easy with her. We are definitely booking again.
Disaster of a stay. Misleading listing, loud, dirty, horribly rude host. Do not stay here!
So much wrong, can’t even fit everything into this review. When we arrived to the building there was mold all over the door, including the door handle which we obviously had to touch in order to get in. There were a small set of wooden stairs that were covered with mold and so slippery that a few of us almost slipped multiple times. Opening the door to the apartment was a joke. It looked like a construction site. The entrance, hallway and staircase were definitely not pictured in the listing. At this point I was mortified to be bringing my family to such a place. There were spiderwebs everywhere, including hanging from the dining room table over us as we ate dinner the first night. The ceilings in one of the bedrooms had parts that were hanging down, it looked like it could collapse on us at any moment. There were also soft spots in the kitchen floor. The apartment over all was one big hazard. The dryer had a sign on it that it was broken although the listing mentions that there is a washer and dryer for use in the apartment so we were not able to wash any clothes or towels as there was nowhere to hang the stuff to dry. The oven was disgustingly dirty as well. Very central location as stated in the listing but what’s not mentioned is that there is a bar next door so it is very loud until all hours of the night. Unfortunately the only time we tried calling the host to discuss the apartment, she very rudely told us that she’s too busy to talk to us and has a management team

Well anyone who does read this review, we ask that you take the time to read our other reviews which are all 5 star reviews!
Also please note that if any of the above was accurate Erica could had contacted Vrbo at anytime, shown them the evidence and I promise you our listing still wouldn’t be active if the claims above where true.
Before Erica arrived at the property she realized that the property wasn’t a quote on quote log cabin in the middle of downtown Lake George….. Erica proceeded to call Vrbo over 5 times demanding to Vrbo and myself to give her a full refund, Vrbo declined to refund her because our listing details specifically detailed the rental, Erica then proceeded to harass us for hours demanding a refund, Erica had her father call and threaten us.
If the ceiling was falling down, if there was mold everywhere, spiders everywhere Erica could had easily contacted Vrbo and received a full refund if the above was true, so one would think that the amount of times she demanded a full refund on her arrival date and was told no that Erica would had reported these serious claims she’s making above.
Unfortunately Erica failed to look over our listing details before booking our rental and wanted us to take the hit and refund her during one of the busiest weekends of the summer.
