About the host

Hosted by Sherri Simmons

Host profile image
Sherri and Joel are life long Mainers who love to share their piece of this beautiful state with others. They build tiny, cozy cabins with all the essentials, treat the earth well and waste nothing.

Sherri teaches Math and Joel is a Labor Relations Specialist during the day and they rent and build cabins on nights and weekends and someday they hope to retire and run their business full time!

Why they chose this property

With nearly 100 acres, this land provides enough space for exploring and adventure. There are activities: kayaking, canoeing, fishing, hiking, snowshoeing, cross country skiing...and many opportunities to simply relax.

The trail from the cabin to the water is marked with reflectors and headlamps are provided for a nighttime walk to the water.

The Pub area is also lit up for night time walking. At the pub, you can light a fire in the chimenea, sit and enjoy a beverage (you'll have to pack your own), play a game of cribbage or connect four or lay in the hammock and enjoy the peacefulness of the Maine woods.

The Pizzeria is a destination in the woods with a woodfired oven and table for dining. Treat someone special with a dinner in the woods!

After dinner - check out the Axe throwing area! Axes included!

There are three cabins on the property for a total of up to 6 guests at one time. All cabins have their own space (over an acres each) and guests rarely see each other.

What makes this property unique

Our tiny house allows for a Maine woods getaway in a comfortable setting. Turn down service and lots of extras that make you feel at home. The location is wooded, but you can access it in your two wheel drive vehicle and still use your cell phone! This getaway is a relaxing Maine experience that gets you into nature at an affordable rate without having to sleep in a tent!

Sherri and Joel live nearby (approx 15 min away) and can be reached when needed!
