The house was comfortable and clean. It’s an older home with what seemed like the original wooden floors. They do squeak but for us, it gave the house character. Nothing else seemed old in the house. Furniture and bed are comfortable. It’s a short two blocks from the very sweet downtown of Buena Vista so you can’t beat the location. We would definitely stay again.

Thank you Vicki - yes the floors are original and have a little squeak - but we love that about this home. The living room area of the home dates back to the late 1800s. Several additions and renovations over the many years and all up to date for today's life. We hope to see you back again soon in BV.

Our favorite place

Our third stay at Basecamp and it always feels like home. Clean, well prepared for our stay and the location is off the charts perfect. Owner communication is clear and concise. We plan our trips to Buena Vista according to Basecamp’s availability.

This place worked out great for us, perfect location, comfortable furniture to relax in, and listening to the live music from the rooftop bar next door was a nice surprise. As a traveler if you could figure out how to install a washer/dryer that would have been a bonus for us; otherwise it had everything we needed. Hostess very responsive.
