This home was amazing! We had a work group stay here and it housed us perfectly with ample space! The layout of the home was perfect, and the outdoor fire pit was a splendid add! 10/10 would stay here again!
We had a great stay. There was plenty of room for our family. We came into town for a wedding and we were able to enjoy time with the family at the property as well. Communication with the manager was prompt and easy. We will definitely stay again.
Our stay at the Yellow Rose was our family's
2022 Christmas gathering, and we had one of the best ever. Had a couple of kinks, but our host took care of them immediately.
We rented this property for extended family to stay at while attending several college graduations. It’s a bit out of town but not bad at all. We liked the location, and the property was just as described. Very clean and spacious. Definitely recommend.
13 family members from around the state gathered without being crowded. All the arcade video games were enjoyed by the teens and kids and kids at heart. Plenty of beds. Comfortable mattresses (pillows had mixed reviews) All in all everyone had a great time!
We were in Abilene for a celebration of life for our father. The house was perfect for our needs. My 3 year old grandson loved the bouncing horse. I enjoyed the 8 sprayer shower.
"We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this VRBO property! The house was incredibly well-equipped, providing everything we needed and more. With 21 beds, it was the perfect spacious retreat for our large group celebrating our twin 60th birthday. The proprietors went above and beyond, even leaving a thoughtful birthday card and delicious cookies that added a delightful touch to our memorable celebration. Highly recommend this property for any group looking for comfort, space, and thoughtful hospitality!"
We had a LARGE group in for a wedding in Clyde. This place slept 19 of us with room to spare. There was plenty of seating inside and outside. The property is very kid friendly. Large kitchen with a large island great for serving buffet style LARGE amounts of food. Bedrooms are big and beds are comfortable. The only thing I would suggest, if you have more than 10 or so guests, bring extra towels. The hosts were friendly, communicative and eager to please. Seems like you’re miles away from anywhere but Abilene is just right up the road! This place checks all the boxes.
Pictures don't tell the whole story. Front wooden steps were not nailed down and tripped up some people. There is a step down from the kitchen to living area is unsafe for kids and elderly, no handrails. Bathroom faucet was not attached to sink. Kitchen sink was loose, microwave door open was broken.. but very nice otherwise. Beds were comfortably and lots of room for groups. Had a great time with family in one spot.
All in all OK. Would stay again bc location to ACU is perfect. Front door code was not set for us but the host had it fixed quickly. Back sliding glass door lock did not work so we had to put table there to act as a lock. Master bath definitely needs some pest control. Lots of little critters all over master shower. 3 stars probably better assessment of entire property, but for the same price as 2 hotel rooms and to have that much room, the little problems were not that big a deal. Thanks Jeff T, Boerne.

Check in and ability to get ahold of someone.
We arrived at check in time, 4:00pm. We were unable to get in using the last 4 digits of my phone number as instructed. I sent messages to our host and via VRBO’s site, but at 5:15 still hadn’t heard back. One of our family found a window at the house unlocked and was able to gain access into the house and we got in. I did get a call around 5:40 or so and found out they put a wrong code in the lock at the door. Just was frustrating being unable to reach someone quicker. Otherwise, our time here was wonderful!!
