*Per current Covid cleaning restrictions about cleaning times needed to sanitize safely, we can not do early check-ins or late check-outs....so please don't request as regulations don't allow it now.... but now onto our great spot! EARLY CHECK-IN'S ARE $100 EXTRA SO PLEASE do not inquire unless you want to do this....
Located 1.3 miles from the luxury of Tahoe City restaurants and shops in the exclusive neighborhood of Lake Forrest, you will find 'Sapphire Vista' studio with clean modern lines which create a soothing Sierra escape. Rather than hotel costs, you can cook and BBQ (not super gourmet, as it a mini kitchen with all needed with mini fridge, micro, and BBQ).
In the exclusive and quiet Lake Forest, you have a small and sexy studio rental. In the summer, lounge on gorgeous beach Skylandia. In the winter, drive to premier mountain resorts 10-15 minute's drive. All seasons, 'Sapphire Vista' mandates F-U-N, while the cozy and peaceful studio with feather-down blankets promise some deep z-z-z-z-z's. This property is ideal for 2 in a Queen, although there is a fold out couch in same space for a child or close buddy.....
Serene, modern, with a brand new well-appointed interior, this retreat by the lake offers some serious get-away for the budget-minded couple or small family. You are getting lake access without the crazy cost: We give you a code to our beach. We adore dogs too! So take them for a swim... And if you want to lounge on a big sand beach, Skylandia is a block away. (BTW the dock is private)

Wonderful stay
The hosts were terrific. Even with my barking dog! The accommodations were exactly like the pictures. Cozy, modern and clean with Tahoe rustic mixed in. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet. All the neighbors are super friendly. As well as their dogs. We felt very welcome.

Great Getaway!
We really enjoyed this little cottage on the lake! It is nicely decorated and clean with all the necessary things for comfort. We never needed for towels, toilet paper, blankets, pillows, kitchen ware, etc. I would suggest this is a good place for a couple or a small family of 3. Our daughter is 11 and didn’t mind sleeping on the pull out. The location is so private and off the beaten path. Lots of walking trails and parks within walking distance. You can see the lake from the bathroom and bedroom windows. Clean windows would have been wonderful to see the views but I understand this is the forest and we were there memorial weekend so it may not have gotten done yet. Anyway, we would come back for sure! 10 minutes from any eatery in Tahoe City and shopping. Hosts were very private and helpful! A Tahoe Gem for sure 🤗

Just what we needed
The property was very cute, clean, and just as we were expecting! The location was great and the music playing when we walked in paired with the soft lighting was such a nice touch!

Owners of the property, husband wife, occupy a large 'Old Tahoe' home on same lot as the rental apartment, but assure guests of complete privacy from the main home. As a painter and actor couple, they take deep sustained inspiration from the great Lake Tahoe and are happy to share this special property that has been in the family for 83 years.

Why they chose this property

In 1927, the grandparents of the husband purchased 4 lake front lots and built a large summer home on the 2 main lots. Therefore privacy is afforded the main house and the rental apartment because of the vacant lot on one side of the buildings.
