The main floor bedroom boasts a queen-size bed and window seat. The adjacent full bath has a tub/shower combo.

The loft has a queen sofa bed and a handy powder room. Both bathrooms feature granite countertops and brushed nickel fixtures.

When you’re ready to venture outside, keep everyone entertained in this perfect vacation setting. The Recreation Center / Lodge features a swimming pool, two outdoor hot tubs, locker room saunas, billiards, tennis and bocce courts, and a fitness trail. The complex backs up to Tahoe National Forest, offering miles of hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, and other activities year-round.

Everything felt clean and cozy but the carpeting itself, especially near the entrance seemed tired and ground in dirty. But all in all, considering the unit is in a ski and outdoor activities area, served my purposes very well and I would highly recommend the same unit and management group!

This review is not based on my experience with VRBO which was actually OUTSTANDING! The following review is based on my experience with the property management of this property, First Accommodations.Paid close to 3k to stay in Lake Tahoe for 12 days. The place was dusty, the knives were dull, the couch pillows need to be thrown away and the mattress was extremely uncomfortable. I worked in the mattress business for years and quickly identified the poor quality immediately. Property says it sleeps 5 but what they do not tell you is property can barely shower 1. Only 2 of us but when one took a shower the other would have to wait 2 hours for the water to be warm again. Forget it if one of us took a bath. So I dont see how more than one person could ever stay here. Now we are at the Marriott enjoying back to back warm showers. One of us could take a hot bath while the other is taking a hot shower no problem.On top of all that the area was expecting a good amount of snow during the beginning of the trip. When asked if they had a shovel onsite. I was told to bring my own. That is crazy!! I have stayed in so many Tahoe homes over the last decades and all of the properties supply a shovel because they understand the conditions. Extremely poor management. Rather than supply a shovel for your guest. You require people that do not live in such conditions to bring their own rather than just supply one.Couldnt even fit the whole negative review in.

Overall, this townhouse was just OK. With some basic amenities and some modern updates it could be a five star experience.As some of the other reviews have stated, a lot of the amenities inside this home were outdated, broken, we’re just needed a refresh. Linens were fraying. Furniture was definitely old and needing to be replaced. Dishwasher had a malfunction. Oven had a malfunction. Sink faucet in the kitchen was broken. Some outlets weren’t working. Most of the dishes and silverware felt like it was from a yard sale from the 1970s. Be prepared to bring everything yourself, there is very little livable amenities. On the plus side, it was pretty clean and a quiet location with plenty of parking and good access to Northlake Tahoe.We would stay here again as it’s perfect for a couple as there is really only one closed off bedroom, but only if the property management/owners did a review of all the issues in the property first and did some basic upgrades.

Nice place

It was a nice place, worked fine for 3 friends. The second loft area with twin beds is completely open so there’s really only one enclosed bedroom. Some lights weren’t working but otherwise the townhouse had everything we needed for a two-night stay (kitchen equipment, etc…) nice to use the hot tubs in the community as well- thanks!

Carnelian Bay Townhouse

Great property for the price. Close to restaurants and short drive distance to local attractions. Property has a full size kitchen with all needed to cook and serve meals. Property has one TV with minimal channels, no air conditioning and master bedroom could use a new mattress. Overall, we would rent the property again and the three of us were comfortable and satisfied during our stay.

Overall it was a great place. A minor issue was that some of the lights were burnt out. We may have overlooked this in the paperwork but we were very disappointed to find that the hot tub was closed Monday - Thursday. Never heard of that before.

The pluses: The condo was as described. The place was clean and check in was easy. It had everything we needed, including some sleds we borrowed. The property management company was easy to communicate with and responsive. The minuses: The primary bedroom bed was very uncomfortable and desperately needs to be replaced or flipped. The decor is dated and could use a refresh. The interior needs a need coat of paint. Overall, good stay and the condo did the job for us.

Weekend getaway

Very convenient and prop management is very responsive which is great. But, we found the listing initially as a cabin which this site is not. Didnt find out until after booked. We would have likely gone with hotel had we known the arrangement up front. The amenity hours leave a lot to be desired. That said very comfortable, convenient and a nice visitor community in one of the (my opinion) best Tahoe neighborhoods.
