I love this house! The location is perfect for my family! The dipping pool is exactly that, a dipping pool. Great for standing around in at the end of the day with a cocktail. My son captured the sentiment in saying “it feels like you’re visiting a friend’s house rather than renting a place.” It’s comfortable, plenty of amenities, comfortable beds and living room furniture. Thanks for the hospitality!

The property was very clean. The kitchen was furnished with utensils, dishes, glasses, pots and pans etc.The pool was great to hang around and cool off.It is in the very south end of town. The beach is very walkable. The town part is too.

Wonderful location and house!!

The house is in a wonderful location that is far enough from crowds but close enough to walk to the beach and downtown Tybee. We had 6 adults and 6 kids and there was plenty of space for us all to hangout and not feel crowded. It was a wonderful place to stay in Tybee to make core memories.

Great trip!

The house was wonderful, exactly what we needed! Location was so close to the beach and they provided everything we could possibly need. Jane the property manager was amazing and very prompt at returning my call. We stay at different properties a lot, but this will definitely be one we use again!

Great Spacious place!

My family and I stayed here for a weekend to celebrate a family member's birthday. It was very spacious and comfortable. The only complain is that it was dim at night, not a whole lot of bright light on the main floor, otherwise great place.

So glad you enjoyed your stay. We have never had lighting feedback before. Wish we had known during your stay and we could've provided some suggestions. Both the kitchen and dining room lights have dimmers. Perhaps they weren't turned all the way up. There are also under counter kitchen lights, canned lights in kitchen, lamps and ceiling lights in living room.

Great house for large group of adults or families!

The house has a really great set up with separate quarters so plenty of room to have your own little areas. But the common areas are spacious enough for everyone to be in! We loved the pool to cool off in every day and hang out at. There are a lot of sitting areas. Host was super responsive and kind!

Girl's weekend

Easy walk to the beach and around the community. We enjoyed the open deck, which was great for gathering, games and conversations. There were 8 of us, and there were plenty of rooms and beds. Some maintenance was required during our stay; the property manager was responsive and matters were corrected in a timely manner, which we appreciated.

Great family vacation

We stayed at this property with my five daughters and their significant others and we had a blast. The house came with all the fun beach toys and chairs we needed. Just a quick walk to the beach or river as well. Plenty of space in the house to spread out and not be on top of one another. It was nice to have a dipping pool on the property as well to cool off in the very hot heat of the day.

Great family beach vacation

We planned a big family vacation and had a wonderful time at this property! The house is huge and offers many large, comfortable beds and separate rooms to accommodate separate families. We cooked almost all meals at the house and had every utensil and appliance we needed. The house is also well-stocked with all the beach gear you’ll need so you can leave all that at home! The only thing I would change is for the WiFi at the home to work better; it didn’t reach throughout the house and even where it reached, it was too weak to even work on the TVs in the home.

Great Location, Great House

An amazing amount, almost too much, cookware and appliances. Air conditioning was great, we had to turn down the pre-sets. The pool was a nice way to cool off. Still, the South Beach location is the main attraction since we spent one year on the North Beach before finding SB. It's so close to both the SB, Tybee Creek and the main fishing pier/shop area. Having 4 parking spots was luxury. The garage was well stocked with beach wagons, beach and surf toys. A problem with electricity was solved immediately by the caretakers. Drinks on the rooftop at sunset!

Great House

My family and I rent out a beach house every year at different beaches. This was hands down my favorite place. We had 11 people; ages ranging from 5 to 80 years old. The bedrooms were spaced out perfectly that everyone had there own area. The house had every accommodation you would want or need. The only thing that you need to bring is a beach towel. The added touches with decor and all the provisions with the house; beach chair's umbrella's; wagons; beach toys; flash lights down to the insect repellent were greatly appreciated.The distance to the beach and quaint area was amazing. The owner's, the host; Jane and her husband were awesome. Any questions regarding the house were answered quickly. No reason to stay at another beach house, this is definitely the one. Best vacation ever!

Disappointed Stay

When you pay close to $9k for the week, you expect things to be perfect or as close to it as possible. I understand the unexpected can happen, but the handling of our issue(s) was disappointing to say the least; especially when they appeared to be known issues pushed aside. No resolution/compensation offered for being without a washer for the vast majority of our trip. Yes, it was repaired, but the manner in which it was done was highly unprofessional. Joseph, we are sorry to hear you found your stay disappointing. As you can see from other reviews we have positive reviews and strive to go above and beyond for our guests. As with any beach town in the summer months, appliance repair isn’t typically a quick response. We had a technician out as quickly as possible and parts had to ordered. I’m unclear what “known issues” you reference but there was no prior issue with the washing machine. I’m unclear on whether the property manager was contacted or made aware of these issues but we apologize if you weren’t satisfied as we strive to go above and beyond for our guests.

OK, first of all - I will tell you why this place was perfect for our group. We had a large group of teenage boys and girls. We didn't want them sleeping on the same floor. And we needed two "adult rooms" for get aways. Well this house had: a full wing for the boys, on the middle floor and a full wing for the girls on the lower floor. Plus mom and dad took the LARGE bedroom on the back of the lower floor very quiet. And the other couple took the upstairs loft wing with the most amazing bathroom and MOST WONDERFUL SHOWER (four sprays and huge) ever. The kitchen was great, because we spread out all our food on the long counter/island and the kids got their food and then sat at the kitchen table or the booth or took it in the living room. Everyone loved the comfortable leather couches and I would need a whole page to describe how much we loved the 14 person hot tub! LOVED IT! The upper deck overlooking the hot tub was great for adults quiet hangout while the kids were on the large deck around the pool sized hot tub and the crows nest viewing deck was lovely for a midnight view of the water. Overall -the perfect location and absolutely wonderful house for a large group that each want their own space.

We had such a wonderful stay at this Tybee Island rental! The location truly couldn’t have been better—just a short walk to town and some fantastic beaches, which made everything so convenient and relaxing.The house itself was perfect for our family. There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out comfortably, and it never felt crowded. It was also incredibly well stocked with everything we needed, which made our stay even more enjoyable and stress-free.Overall, this was a fantastic place to stay, and we would absolutely come back again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located home on Tybee Island!

This place was nice! Short walk to the beach was great. Beds were super comfortable. The property manager was very helpful. The full size washer and dryer was nice but they were stacked and it was difficult to reach the dryer, we had to use a step stool. The shower in the downstairs was a little weird. The knob to turn the water on and off was so high that my short family members could not reach it.

Great Location!

We had a wonderful stay on this property. The house is HUGE and can sleep a lot of people. It is steps away from a public beach access and you are about a 7 minute walk from the "downtown". They also had beach stuff to take like chairs, wagons and umbrellas. I would definitely stay here again!

Great vacation

The house is stocked with everything you could possibly need for your stay. It is only steps from a quieter beach than the rest of the island. It’s comfortable and with our party of 9, very spacious. My only negative was that the owners suite on the 3rd floor has no bedroom or bathroom door. If someone is coming up the stairs, once they get to the landing they can see straight into the shower from a large full length mirror positioned at The top of the stairs. This can be a little tricky with kids and family Overall it was an incredible stay.

Wonderful house!

I have never stayed in any VRBO rental that was as stocked with essentials as this one. The kitchen not only had every item we needed, but each bathroom was fully equipped with nice soap, lotion and plenty of toilet paper. The towels were soft and smelled great. The garage was packed with beach toys, chairs, umbrellas and 2 carts to transport everything on the short walk to the sand. The private pool had 2 umbrellas and 12+ chairs. The pictures of this home on VRBO don’t do it justice. It is so nice and comfortable. The TV in the living room is like a movie screen. The master suite upstairs is a special luxury with a walk in shower! Thank you to the owners and caretakers for making our family beach trip so much fun.

Our work family completely enjoyed our stay. Everything you could need was furnished. The house was great. We loved the porches!!!! Having chairs and a wagon was great too. Owners communicated great and would respond super fast. Great great great place to stay!!!

This home was our family residence for 17 years. We raised our 2 sons here and we are now empty nesters living aboard our boat and traveling wherever the winds take us. We are happy to share our little slice of heaven with others.

Why they chose this property

Willie bought this property and the public shower houses back in the 80s and built his dream home around it. He maintained the integrity of the shower houses and the original tile is still in the first floor bathrooms today. He loves everything about the water (sailing, fishing, boating, etc.) and it was his dream to live at the beach. He then built our home around the shower houses and the rest is history.
