Perfect!!

Perfect for the 2nd year

Like last year, this year was amazing too, super clean when we got there, everything you need like at home......neighbors are super friendly and the west side beaches are always sunny and some of the best places on Oahu for surfing....the owner (Tracy) want to make sure you have a nice stay......we where here for almost 3months and will definitively come back

Clean Comfortable & Secure

Our first experience renting a VRBO property was great, I would definitely recommend this condo to anyone wanting to vacation on Oahu. The property is clean, well maintained and Tracy is wonderful to rent from. Everything you need is already there, kitchen items, movies, boogie boards, ice chest etc. If your cooking at the condo you simply need to buy groceries. The beach is absolutely beautiful on this side of the island and there is always a life guard on duty. I would recommend Sack N Save, Longs Drug Store for grocery's and other incidentals. Hannara's Restaurant, Sun Sushi and Taco's & More in Waianae are great places to eat.

Wonderful Month at Makaha Plantation!

We just had the best month at Tracy’s townhouse. Tracy was a wonderful host and provided us with everything we needed for a relaxing time. The condo is spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed the pool tennis courts and basketball court as well! The beach at the foot of the hill is a must stop for sunset watching and locals. There is a great grocery store near by for all of our shopping needs. We did wind up driving all over the island and folks renting here should know that everything to see is about an hour away. Although we did love some hikes right nearby too. The artwork in the apartment is beautiful too. While some furniture is a bit dated, for the price and space you really can’t beat it. Thank you Tracy for a wonderful month! Mahalo!

Very Dishonest Do not rent from her scammer!

We left the place in immaculate condition, actually cleaner than when we had checked in and with no damage whatsoever.Below is our response to your false accusations. 1.Rug: The rug had no smell to it. When we got there you said you had just replaced the rug because “the last people you rented to had ruined it.” I’m not sure if this is some ploy of yours to obtain more money (for your upcoming Vegas trip), but the rug was not ruined by us. Because of the bug & cockroach infestation in the entire condo we did not eat anywhere except the table. The rug should not have had any smell or stains or whatever the accusation is. Bottom line is no one ate out in the living room and so no need for a new rug. 2. Sofa cushions: you claimed the sofa cushions had a smell to them. But like stated above, no one ate in the living room. The coach was very uncomfortable, outdated, and gross, not what the picture looked like. FYI - we pulled the couch bed out to watch a movie & gold fish and crumbs all over and nasty dead bugs. Instead of complaining, we just cleaned it up. I have to say in hindsight, that is absolutely disgusting and unsanitary for your renters to have to clean, especially in these days and times when everything should be deep cleaned prior to a new family staying. At check in you informed me that your neighbors/friends were keeping an “eye on the unit” & us”. I wouldn’t be surprised if you had cameras in your unit. Your place has cockroaches everywhere and mind u we stay in Hawaii all the time and never had this experience like your unit we have videos and pictures of everything & how gross your place was. Your extremely unprofessional. I had to threaten you with getting a lawyer involved when you tried to lie and say we ruined things in the unit. Your a scam artist! I’m extremely disappointed because on VRBO, you had 5 star reviews,I feel lied to. So I was not expecting to 1. Have the experience I had with all the issues in your unit, but especially 2. To have the issues with you, and 3. The false accusations from you. It should have been a red flag when you complained to me about the previous renter and about having to replace the rug. You told us you paid $500 for that replacement rug, so now you’re only charging $300 to us? It just doesn’t make much sense. You also kept calling &txting me and venting to me about things that were none of my business I don’t even know you. I have so much I want to say but not enough space!

Tracy greeted us at the Unit to show us everything and has a beautiful well kept unit. Was perfectly located, furnished well and outdoor toys for beach and Plantation activities. Everything we needed for our month long stay there. Can't wait to come back.

Month long escape to Makaha Valley

Super value in beautiful Makaha Valley! My wife and two boys spent a whole month there recently to escape the Covid blues of the mainland. The unit is very spacious as depicted in the description with a nice lanai to sit out on and enjoy the fresh air. Even with the current covid restrictions, we were able to enjoy the pool and basketball court (you get the pool basically to yourself for one hour a day right now). Very easy access to nearby beaches and there are some hiking trails you can access very close to the property. The unit has some snorkel and beach items you can use too. Also, go on the Dolphin Cruise that sets sail at the nearby marina...it was fabulous. Sunsets every day from the nearby beaches!

Quiet Corner of Paradise

We had a wonderful experience renting our condo at Makaha Valley Plantation for a period of six weeks from Tracy. The condo was lovely and Makaha Valley Plantation was great. The grounds are immaculate, pools and hot tubs were very clean and the security staff are super friendly. Tracy met us upon arrival and made sure we knew where everything was and had everything we needed. The condo is very well stocked. Kitchen had everything we could possibly need and all appliances functioned well. The beds were sooo comfortable. We slept like logs. Makaha Valley Plantation is on the quieter non touristy side of Oahu but we loved being away from the hustle and bustle where we could enjoy the natural beauty of Oahu. You will need a car if you want to experience the whole island but we found that the driving and traffic were not too difficult as long as we avoided peak periods. We would not hesitate to stay at this location again and definitely were pleased with our rental unit. We may have arrived as strangers but we soon felt like ohana. Mahalo Tracy for everything.

Clean and comfortable little condo. Excellent host!

Our family of 4 stayed here for a week. The condo was clean and comfortable (especially the king size bed). Tracy was extremely attentive and wanted to make sure everything was just right. There is a/c, wifi, pool access, and a full kitchen. There was even beach equipment (masks, snorkels, cooler, beach chair, umbrella) for us to use - this came in very handy. Kitchen has all the essential equipment. We went to the nearby beaches and found them beautiful and far less crowded than the ones on the other side of the island. The only thing you need to be aware of is that almost all of the major attractions such as Pearl Harbor, Polynesian Center, Hunauma Bay, Kuaola Ranch, etc are on the other side of the island - so you need plan to drive at least an hour each way to visit these. Other than that, this was the perfect little place for our family. The rates were reasonable and Tracy was very careful to make sure all of our needs were met. Thanks again.

Comfortable condo

Great location. Tracy was a gracious host. Condo was comfortable. There was AC in the living area. Needs AC in the bedrooms. Otherwise a nice place to stay. Near great beaches.

Great location

Super location away from very touristic places. Impressive landscapes. Lots of beautiful beaches around. Less than an hour's drive from all the other attractions (Pearl Harbor, Dole Plantation, Lanikai Beach, Honolulu, Haleiwa, etc.) Beautiful resort with swimming pools, great for kids. Everything was there for the beach (chairs, umbrellas, towels, beach toys), super comfortable beds... we loved it!

Wonderful quiet location near some amazing beaches!

Tracy's place was great. It was a short drive from everything you could need. The area is quiet and not touristy at all which we liked. The unit could use salt and pepper and a few spices but other then that it was perfect. The beds were very very comfortable. The roosters wake up early so you may want ear plugs and bug repellant. The beaches are just down the road, 5 min drive and are just beautiful. Ocean on one side mountains/valley on the other. Cant be beat.

Great condo away from the crowds!

Our family of four had a wonderful 11 day stay at Makaha Valley Plantation. Tracy was there to meet us at check-in and available when we had questions. She had water and other drinks in the fridge for us when we arrived. The condo is well stocked with kitchen items, beach towels and chairs, a beach umbrella, snorkeling gear, a basketball, a Frisbee and other items. The condo also has movies, and books for times that you just want to relax there. The laundry facilities are close to the unit. The beach at the end of Kili is wonderful, and not crowded. There is a grocery store and several restaurants fairly close. The condo is a drive to the tourist attractions on Oahu, so if you are looking for a place to stay away from the crowded beaches, and don't mind driving to attractions, this is a great place to stay!

Great place to stay-clean comfortable, affordable.

First, Tracy was waiting when we arrived and had water, coke, coffee and necessities for us after a long trip. This was a great place for our family of four (with twin boys -15) Nice when we weren't down at the beaches, used pools, hot tubs and grills. Tracy has thought of all of the details so that we didn't have to purchase items that we would have only used while there - boogie boards, beach chairs/towels, football/basketball etc. Beds were VERY comfortable! The short drive to the beach was so convenient and while we were all over the island at several other beaches with family who live on the Island, we decided this beach was the nicest! Beach was long enough to sit where it was not crowded, while still checking out the surfers on one end and enjoying some good waves ourselves on the other end! We would definitely stay here again, if available. Thank you Tracy for the clean, comfortable, affordable accommodations! HI sure beat IL at Christmas time!!

Perfect

We had an amazing stay at Tracy's condo. She has literally thought of everything in this condo. Drinks in the fridge, snorkel gear, beach chairs, sun screen, long distance calling... you name it, she has it there. This really saves allot of money considering things like renting snorkel gear cost $10 a person. The internet worked flawlessly (this is one of my pet peeves on vacation). There is a great balcony that has two chairs and a table that is surrounded by bamboo and palm trees - an amazing place to have coffee. The grounds around the condo are incredibly maintained. There are flowers, fruit trees and other tropical plants everywhere. There are crews there all the time maintaining everything and it really shows. There is allot to do here even within a 10 minute drive from the condo. Traffic seems to get really bad coming in and out of Honolulu during peak commuting times, but it is easily avoidable if you plan your days around it. Nothing but good things to say about this place! Incredible value! Thank you Tracey!

Great Week in Hawaii

We stayed here for nine days. We loved it. The home was very nice. Tracy made us very comfortable and made sure that we had everything that we needed. It was so great to get in real late and have a few things in the kitchen for us to eat. The fridge was stocked with drinks and the place had many of the things that we needed to use. It was such a quiet pleasant location. She also had snorkel gear, bags, and chairs for our use. We will definitely be back!

Home away from home!

I cannot say enough positive things towards our stay at Tracy’s place. After greeting and showing us around her stylish condo, we felt right at home. Tracy saw to our comfort immediately with drinks in the refrigerator, plus lists of highlights to see and where to shop & eat. This roomy condo left us feeling relaxed after our stay. I definitely would recommend this place for family with children of all ages (ours were 23 and 28).

Great Relaxing Vacation

We spent a wonderful two weeks here in the Makaha Valley Plantation. The condo is very nice and well appointed with everything you would need. The complex is very secure and our kids loved the pools. There were beach toys for the kids, snorkel gear, beach chairs, as well as boogie boards and other items for the beach. The owner was fantastic in answering any questions we had and great to work with. When we come back to Makaha we will stay here again. This is definitely not Waikiki and that's a great thing. :) Thanks for such a great time in your condo.

Lovely

Thank you tracy for being such a great host. Your condo was perfect. we wish we had booked it for another week. It had everything we needed and we felt right at home. we have been coming the the plantation for 30 years and really do love the west side of the island. To us, it is a hidden gem. Quiet, clean & comfy

Our family of four enjoyed Tracy's lovely home. The king bed was super comfortable and the layout worked perfectly. This is a very efficient place, packed with plenty of things to do...books, games, water toys, DVDs and TVs. Makaha, West Oahu Rental

The place was clean, updated and comfortable. The staffed security gate added a feeling of enhanced security. Good local beaches. Tracy was very helpful when we had a minor mishap with the ceiling fan globe. lots of on site Peacocks to admire. Be sure to go down to the local beach at sunset to witness the blowing of the Conch's, sometimes the whales make an appearance as well. Overall a great experience and we would not hesitate to rent again should we decide to stay in west Oahu.

Aloha vacation

This was our first experience renting from VROB and we found it excellent. Tracy was very helpful every step of the way. Her unit was very nicely furnished and very well set up with everything . It was very clean and updated.Tracy also provided free internet and phone calling to Canada.We stayed for 2 months and this was very important to us. We enjoyed the neighbor ambassador who gave us info on good beaches etc. We loved the beaches and whale watching, turtles on the beach. There is good hiking in the area. I would recommend this unit. Wonderful Vacation on Oahu

Gina and I and our 3 twentyish college kids really enjoyed our stay away from the bustle of Waikiki. It was an easy drive to the Polynesian Cultural Center for a little theme park/culture but the highlight was the 5 minute drive to the full service grocery, beach and charming, end of the road state park. The park offers easy access views and various challenge level nature and distance hikes. Tracy was a wonderful host and the property is safe, secure, well equipped (no dishwasher but fantastic kitchen). This area of the island doesn't get much rain so you get to enjoy the sun. Condo Residents were fabulously helpful with local intelligence (where are the sea turtles? best beaches). Condo has great facilities including 2 community pools. Tracey supplied snorkels, masks, beach towels, boogie boards and a large cooler all in great condition. BTW Tracey promptly returned deposit. Before visiting Makaha Valley, I thought that I had seen everything in Oahu and didn't need to go back....not anymore...we'll be back!

Why they chose this property

I was looking to buy a place on the west side of Oahu because of the beautiful beaches and found Makaha Plantation to be the prefect place. The tranquility of the Koolau mountains and the beaches within walking distance. A well secured area with very friendly security staff. I had just learned how to play golf and with the golf course being so close it was a done deal :)

What makes this property unique
