The Space:
Welcome to your home-away-from-home - an 800 sq ft, one-bedroom cottage, where every inch is thoughtfully designed with your relaxation and comfort in mind. You will be greeted by an open space concept which features a combination of a cozy living room, perfect for evening relaxation, and a fully-equipped kitchen where you can reveal your culinary skills. An array of appliances, including an oven, stove, microwave, refrigerator, and dishwasher, allows for effortless meal preparation. A coffee maker adds to mornings’ simplicity as you relish a quick caffeine fix to jumpstart your day.

The living area exudes a warm and inviting atmosphere, furnished with quality furniture, and a smart TV for your entertainment needs. Whether you're working remotely or simply planning your day full of adventure, the dedicated workspace is a feature you'll surely enjoy.

Take rest after a day's exploration in the comfortably designed bedroom. The chic barn door entrance gives way to the sanctuary of rest, equipped thoughtfully for a tranquil sleep. Plush bed linens and extra pillows assure you of an unruffled slumber—besides, a spacious bathroom paired with modern essentials and a luxurious tiled shower ensures that you start your day on a refreshing note.

Laundry day is made easy with a washer and dryer conveniently stationed in the bathroom. Adjustable heating and air conditioning units promise a comfortable stay whether you visit in the heat of summer or the chill of winter. Safety provisions such as the smoke alarm, fire extinguisher, and first aid kit ensure peace of mind throughout your stay.

Guest Access:
Guests will have full, exclusive access to the entire space - a charming cottage tucked away at the rear of the primary home. A back service road leads you to this private abode. Parking is hassle-free with ample space in the rear area, dedicated to guests, designed to accommodate multiple cars or even trucks with boats.

The Neighborhood:
The neighborhood is quiet. Not a busy street. Neighbors on either side of the home are nice and polite. Neighbors do have dogs and roosters in their backyards that bark and crock when they see or hear movement on the back street.

Getting Around:
There is plenty of parking in the rear next to this unit. We extended the driveway to fit multiple cars as well as trucks with boats.

Other Things to Note:
Position yourself in the quiet neighborhood of Decatur and you'll find you are within touching distance of numerous points of interest. Places such as Point Mallard Park, Cook Museum of Natural Science, and Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center beckon you to explore and discover. In addition, Delano, Wilson Morgan, and Rhodes Ferry Park are local gems that promise infinite fun and relaxation.

While we can't promise waterfront views, we assure you of a quiet, comfortable stay with plenty of conveniences. Please note that while we have a lovely backyard, the entrance to the cottage is shared. Practice respect for our neighbors who have friendly pets in their backyards.

Should issues arise during your stay, a handyman and cleaning manager are just a phone call away, offering you peace of mind and unimpeded relaxation. To ensure a calm environment for all, we kindly request guests to adhere to our non-smoking, no pet policy, and refrain from hosting parties or events.
