Leave your car at home! Walk to everything in this ideally located private house adjacent to downtown Berkeley. This sun drenched private and secluded oasis has a full kitchen, full bathroom, separate private bedroom and living room or second bedroom. Blocks from downtown Berkley, BART, UC campus and restaurant row on Shattuck Ave. Two separate entrances provide enhanced privacy.
Hardwood floors, private deck and BONUS use of shared washer and dryer make this super cozy and convenient.
-Close to downtown Berkeley's shops and restaurants, Trader Joe's, UC Theatre Taube Family Music Hall, Blue bottle Coffee, to name but a few of the great restaurants and amenities within walking distance.
-Easy access to BART & buses (UC Berkeley and SF downtown), easy freeway access and a 99% walk-ability rating. A 5 minute walk (.4 mile) to Downtown Berkeley BART and 2 blocks to the free UC campus shuttle on Shattuck Ave.
-Private entry with private deck.
-Long term stays welcome. Academic families are welcome, as are students for semester stays. Damage and cleaning deposits may vary on longer term stays. Write to me and explain your situation and let’s see if this is a fit.
-Safe and secure location with exterior security camera for added safety.
-Ample free street parking available overnight and on weekends. Monday to Friday from 8am-7pm it is free but limited to 2hrs. So you can park overnight from 5pm-10am. Nearby there is unlimited free street parking available, just not on this block.

House was clean and met all our expectations
Frank is one of the best owners we’ve ever rented a VRBO from. The house was clean and had all the amenities we expected. It’s close to UC Berkeley, and walking distance to great restaurants around the place.

Visit with daughter and grandson who goes to Berkeley High School.
Easy check-in and good communication with host. Clean, quiet, private space overlooking courtyard in back of house. Good restaurants within walking distance. We’ll come again. Thanks.

Outstanding home away from home in the heart of Berkeley!
I just finished a two week stay in Berkeley, visiting my daughter for the holiday. My stay was absolutely awesome! The host Frank and his family were the best, and made everything as smooth and easy as could be. You could not find nicer, more amazing hosts!
The space is absolutely perfect for a longer stay. Great, full kitchen, comfortable sitting space and a spacious bedroom with a super comfortable, memory foam bed. The neighborhood is a quiet, safe residential area and only a 15 minute walk to the heart of downtown Berkeley and another 5 from there to the UC Berkeley campus.
The unit is in the back and was super quiet. Coming in and out was a breeze, even at night as Frank has motion lighting all the way from the from the back. It also had plenty of windows to get natural light all day, all with light-blocking curtains so you can sleep in if you need.
All-in-all this was the best VRBO unit I've ever stayed in. Thank you Frank for an awesome two weeks!! I will most certainly be back soon!
