This is an older row house in a nice quiet neighborhood with easy on street parking. The beds are very comfortable and there is plenty of space for a family. The home seems to be in the process of renovation but the finishes are not a good quality- lots of chipped counters, sticking drawers, unfinished paint, ill fitting doors, etc. Two of the bedrooms are in the basement which may not appeal to some.If you want a good value and a quiet sleep and don’t mind the overall look -this is a good place.
Property is poorly managed and dirty. I made reservation several months in advance so they have plenty of time. Upon arrival starting from light bulb went out in the dining room, broken futon bed, multiple blinds bended, cockroach inside the bathtub, note left inside kitchen drawer saying “towel in dryer”, no soap, no shampoo, no detergents.Oven is not working eventhough they came and checked on it, it’s not even hot after 10 mins, water leak in the basement, they said “no worry”. Property manager should be replaced. Worst property I have ever rented from VRBO. Will not ever come back.

Spacious property and great location but in need of major repairs. We arrived and 2 of the 3 bathrooms were not working. The property manager had someone come and fix it two days after our stay and we had a plumber in the home almost an entire day. Almost every appliance was not working or had something wrong with it and the basement bedrooms were cold and only one space heater. The kitchen was completely empty of all utensils, we had to ask for spoons because there weren’t any. They gave us a half roll of toilet paper for each bathroom and one roll of paper towels. They definitely should have made sure the place was in working order before renting it to us and kept the kitchen stocked. I was very disappointed.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your stay was impacted by maintenance and supply issues, and we understand how frustrating that can be.
When the bathroom issues were reported, we arranged for repairs as quickly as possible, though we acknowledge that the timing and disruption were not ideal. Since your stay, we’ve completed additional inspections and repairs to address plumbing, appliances, and temperature control in the lower level.
The concerns you raised about kitchen supplies and basic amenities are valid. This is not the experience we aim to provide, and we’ve since reinforced our pre-arrival checks to ensure the home is properly stocked and fully functional before each stay.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave this review. Your feedback helps us improve and better prepare the home for future guests.
Clean home in a walkable neighborhood. We were a group of 9 and there was plenty of room for all of us. I really appreciated 3.5 bathrooms to accommodate our large group. There were a few items missing when we arrived( coffe maker, extra towels...).I let the management company know- they replied almost immediately and had the items to us the next morning. The only reason I gave a 4 for cleanliness is some of the dishes had dried food on them as if thru dishwasher and not checked afterwards.

Very Nice Experience! Very spacious, clean, and comfortable
Overall, this property was very nice. Very spacious rooms, clean throguhout the property, within walking distance of Metro station and close to sites within the Washington area. Not very close to grocery so plan to make arrangements to get grocery items but still a good experience.

Hello the hpuse and beds were amazing! The only complaint was the water pressure and water temperature, wich was barely warm. But thank you for a great stay.

The property is nice and spacious. It wasn't far from the National Mall or other entertainment. The neighborhood was quiet and the people were nice. There was no off street parking which was a little challenging sometimes. a

It was a pleasure hosting you, and we hope to welcome you back on your next trip to D.C.!
The location is good and the place is fine. I asked the manager if there were enough plates , cups , flatware and hair dryers. He responded in the affirmative. Upon arriving we discovered only one hair dryer and not enough utensils , cups and flatware for our party of nine. So no problem we bought a hair dryer and plenty of utensils, cups and flatware. The window coverings are not good for early morning light in two of the bedrooms.Overall a good house for a large group.

After reviewing other comments, I was prepared with extra towels and gifted the house with 4 new wine glasses. We walked each morning to the park and loved the houses decorated for Halloween. Even attended an event in the school nearby. Access to Washington DC was so near.

Family Thanksgiving
We had a lovely family Thanksgiving for our large family with plenty of room to accommodate us all as well as for preparing a traditional dinner. The home was clean, warm and comfortable and conveniently located. Some of us enjoyed the porch on a sunny morning. The owner was very responsive when a couple of glitches arose and remedied them right away. We are considering a repeat next year!

Not the best
I had to call the property several times to get ahold of them as they wouldn’t call me back. Property was not great, there were holes in the screens and bugs got in. Not to mention it was incredibly hot and there was not enough fans for each room. Also they ran out of paper towels and we had to buy our own.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet expectations. We sincerely apologize for the delayed communication and for the inconveniences you faced during your stay — including the heat, screen damage, and missing essentials. That’s not the level of comfort or service we strive to provide. We’re actively addressing these issues to ensure future guests have a smoother and more comfortable stay. We appreciate your comments and will use them to improve.
We had a wonderful stay and would stay in this home again. It worked perfect for our group. My daughter and I stayed upstairs and our friends stayed in the basement. The only issues we had was that some of the electrical outlets were not working and we could have used some more towels and washcloths. This was more of an inconvenience than a big issue. I would recommend having a mirror in every bedroom and at least a hand towel in every bedroom. But again it was a great lay out for our group. The neighborhood was nice and we never had any trouble with parking. Checking in and out was a breeze. We would stay there again if we went back to DC.
Great potential/good economy stay in the mean time
This spacious house is a great location for downtown DC. It also is in walking distance to local restaurants and shops. It sleeps more than listed but if you have a larger group, you will need to bring sheets and pillows for the futon and hideaway twin bed as well as washcloths(there were only 3) and extra towels. Floors are very nicely updated and clean. Kitchen is fairly stocked well but cookware had peeling non stick coating that may not be acceptable for some people. Refrigerator ice and water dispenser don’t work but there are 2 ice trays. We bought bottled water and a bag of ice which was fine. This is a bare bones home so if you want to play games or have books or anything entertaining other than the 2 tv’s that work (out of 4 possible) then bring that with you as well. We didn’t have any trouble finding parking in front of the house and the neighbors were very friendly.

If I could rate lower I would!! Got double booked!
The whole experience was great until I actually showed up to the property. We got double booked but given the same code so the next family could just walk in on the other family. The property manager did answer the phone but as soon as we told him what happened he hung up and would not answer the phone even for the police.
There was no water in the house at all and it never got fixed so we had to stay somewhere else. Vrbo customer support was equally as horrendous. We didn't get into a hotel until after 11pm with two small kids. They wouldn't even accommodate us for the amount of guests we're on my reservation. Still haven't gotten a refund and doubt it's coming. All around nightmare. Just book a hotel.
This property is a beautiful home with lots of potential but important details are missed from the experience for sure. The bad:The home is Large enough to fit a large group but there are only supplies for 5 ppl. (Forks, cups, excetera) The oven did not work the entire time we were there. Instead the manager said to use the downstairs oven. The basement kitchen was run down and in disrepair. It looked quite unsafe to cook on with missing burners and seemed to be unplugged. The dryer was also in disrepair and you needed to use a fork to turn it on. We had extensive electrical problems. Losing power in the basement several times during the trip. Basement stairs are unsafe, I do not recommend for children. The kitchen didn't have a baking sheet (not that the oven worked) didn't have kitchen towels, but overall it was stocked with good pots and pans. There is no Pantry. Many lightbulbs were out. Only one tv remote worked. The good: The floors are lovely and are very pet friendly. The living area is nice, with big comfy couches. The house has many beds and they all were welcoming, in good repair and had clean sheets with extra blankets because we visited in winter. The house was clean. The manager communicated clearly and within a reasonable amount of time. Overall:Honestly, you can tell the home is being worked on and that improvement are in the works. So I would stay here again... Hopefully to see how much it has improved.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're truly glad to hear you enjoyed the spacious layout, the pet-friendly floors, the comfortable beds, and the cleanliness of the home. It's great to know you felt well-supported through our communication, and we really appreciate your willingness to return as improvements are made.
We also want to sincerely apologize for the inconveniences you encountered. Since your stay, we’ve restocked the kitchen with additional utensils and essentials to better accommodate larger groups. The dryer has been repaired and now functions properly without any workaround, and the electrical issues in the basement have been resolved by a licensed professional to ensure everything is safe and fully operational.
We're also continuing to improve the basement kitchen and other areas you pointed out, including replacing missing lightbulbs and reviewing stair safety.
Your feedback has been incredibly helpful as we work to elevate the guest experience, and we look forward to welcoming you back to a noticeably improved home.

Petworth DC
The property was about a 15 minute walk to the metro, and it was in a nice neighborhood with a small park nearby. The house was fine however, several light bulbs were out in the ceiling, and there were a few other minor things like that. We enjoyed our stay, my only complaints are that I reached out to the property manager 4 times for different reasons before and during our stay and he either never responded or was very slow to respond. When we arrived, it was 90° and the code he had told me to use to get in the front door did not work. I could not get a hold of him so I had to call the Vrbo main number, and after two different phone number attempts, he finally answered and said oh “Didn’t you get the email I sent you” which I had not. The email had a different code in it and his response was I’m sorry I didn’t see your messages. I was in the swimming pool with my son. We were standing out in the heat after driving 11 hours for over 45 minutes waiting to get in the front door and then when we got in the air conditioner was not on so it took a long time for the house to cool down. Two days later, after I asked him again, he sent me the email with the code and the check out information. If he knew someone was checking in that day, he should’ve had his phone near him in my opinion.

I have both pros and cons
I'll start with the pros. The check in was super easy and went very smoothly. The house is in a great neighborhood. It is conveniently located to the DC night life, stores and attractions. It was no more than a 15 min drive to get to the museums, which was a major plus. The rooms were spacious and comfortably slept 9 people without feeling like we are on top of each other. For the cons, there a few. The 1st being is that none of the TV's worked past turning them on. None of the TV remotes with the exception of one, had batteries. Every time we would try to connect to Netflix, we would receive a error in regards to a internet connection (even though the WIFI connection was extremely strong). The blinds on the patio deck door were not appealing ( they were messed up). We could not keep our snacks out on the countertops due to ants crawling all over. The fan on top of the microwave was was not secured. I was hit in the face when opening the microwave. In my opinion, since there were 3 full bathrooms, there should have been an equal number of hot water tanks. Lastly and most importantly, was the heat. The day before our check out date, the heat appears to be shut off. We've increased the heat to 90 degrees, it did not come on. So on the last night everyone spent the night freezing our tales off. I believe this house has a lot of potential to be great with a few upgrades and amenities.

Does NOT accommodate 14 people.
There are only beds for 10-11 people in the house. Also, there are only bath towels, dishes, and dining room seating for 8-12 people.
We wound up having to use the couch and the loveseat as beds (fortunately, we had a child who was small enough to fit). After I complained, Mr. Ola brought a dirty futon mattress over, which he put on the floor in the dining room. Again, fortunately we had two kids who fit on it. I also had to argue with him to bring more towels- he told me that they don't like to supply more than 12 because people take them.
One of the floor heating vents was not properly installed and it was in a place where you'd commonly step. A child stepped on it and fell into the vent up to her knee, injuring herself. When I told Mr. Ola about the broken vent, he didn't respond.
The wifi was not password protected. I suspect that the neighbors use it because the internet speed dropped to a crawl during peak times.
The house was clean and very convenient to the bus line. Street parking was easy. Although the amenities in the house were hit or miss (like a bare, flickering bulb hanging from the ceiling as the only light fixture in one bedroom, or only providing 1 dishtowel in the kitchen), we made do. I wouldn't recommend it to any group unless it was a small group (8-10 people) who were only using it as a place to sleep.

Please pardon the breakdown in communication. We did not anticipate a group of 14 as 2 were on the reservation request, we were in the midst of replacing some pieces. We will also take a look at the light. The futon is now available. Please also remember to call or email us if you have any questions/concerns while you are staying with us.
On Monday April 22 we left the property to do some sightseeing. Upon returning we discovered the water was completely shut off to the property. I called the numbers provided in the Home Instructions. I did not get an answer to the emergency number provided but I did get an answer to the property managers. I told her at that time that we have not received a call back for any of our complaints. The ice maker, broken toilet etc. She was concerned and assured me that someone would call me back regarding the water being shut off. On Tuesday April 23 at 7:00 a.m. I received a phone call from Omar who assured me the water would be turned on that day. He explained that there was a problem with his credit card. Upon returning to the property at 7:00 we discovered the water was not on. I called Omar again and left a message. He returned call 10 min later and said he was sending his men out to turn it on. We waited for an hour and no one showed up nor called. I called again, no answer so I text him. He said that he had another property down the block and sent us the code to get in so everyone could shower. He told me that we could spend the night there but we had to leave by Thursday because he had customers coming at that time. It was very late; we had no car and did not feel safe walking. I told him that and he would not offer an uber. He kept saying it was a short walk. So…we all walked in the dark in an unfamiliar neighborhood. It took us 15 minutes to get there and we all shower
