The host/owner Shoshana was very prompt to answer all my questions. The property was breathtakingly beautiful and the kids had so much fun in the pool, around the property, and pool toys were provided. We had 4 kids, aged 1-4 years old and the property was so safe for them to roam and explore.

The house was very clean and even more impressive in person. The rooms were large and there was plenty of room for all us. We had a minor plumbing issue which was quickly resolved by the responsive host. Our whole group loved gathering around the firepit every night and enjoying the magnificent view. The pool is huge, but needs some maintenance (diving board cracking) and the chemicals balanced. The kitchen needs more silverware. Overall, we had a great stay.

We got there and it was a disaster, not clean , green pool, metal and trash around outside, dirty floors, bathrooms surfaces and trash laying around inside. Air conditioning didn’t work, chandeliers hanging from the electrical wires, wires everywhere and old electrical that isn’t allowed anymore, hosts full of themselves, not truthful or accommodating, please save your money and keep your families safe!

We understand the guest’s frustration. They arrived with truck loads of equipments to throw a wedding party. Sadly we don’t rent the property as a wedding venue.

Perfect getaway for those who want peace, space and grandeur.

This was a extended work visit, and the property was perfect for us and the host was very accommodating whenever needed. I can see a wedding, reunion or a quiet getaway for a large family at this location.

Beautiful Escape + Spectacular Views

We loved our stay here over the weekend. The property was perfect for our three kids and three couples. We enjoyed the view, pool and tennis court and ventured to the farm nearby.

Beautiful views and lots pf space for everyone!

We loved staying in this large home for a weekend wedding in the area. All couples had plenty of room, with a bathroom in every bedroom, comfy beds, lots of living spaces, and gorgeous views of the valley below. The fall colors were so pretty!

The location is a 5 star location. Some minor issues, no top sheets on any beds but we found them. Weeds around tennis court and swimming pool need to be removed. House was very spacious. Overall, we had a great time.

This property sits on the top of a hill and offers great views over the countryside. The exterior of the property offers a nice tennis court but it has poison ivy around the perimeter and actually inside the court's fence making retrieving balls hazardous, a nice swimming pool, and outdoor furniture but some of it isn't safely assembled. The interior is another story. The house is infested with pantry moths which are all too easy to bring back to your own home. The light switches were frequently not working, very limited interior lighting making the interior very dark - especially the bedrooms with one bedroom having no lighting, cameras in the interior against VRBO policy, one bedroom which was supposed to have queen bed and a king sized bed had the king mattress which was simply placed on the floor (very inconvenient for adults to use). Cooking supplies are old and frequently warped making cooking with them challenging. We had no internet service when we first arrived, but that was resolved after an hour or two of phone calls. The upstairs bedrooms had no place to put your luggage and clothes. Air conditioning was overwhelming in some rooms and absent in others. We cannot recommend this property. The house needs a lot of work, looks very tired, with some of the needed repairs listed above.

The honourable guests asked for the refund of the cleaning fees because they thought they didn’t mess up the house. However, We use professional cleaning services and we charge exactly what they charge us. Maybe this is the reason for this unscrupulous review. The tennis court fence has no poison ivy and there is absolutely no pantry moths in the house. The extra king size mattress is for our VIP ( infant/ toddler) guests which is a $12000 ultra luxury piece by shifman. The house is not tired maybe the eyes are. It’s one of a kind trophy property.

This property is perfect for any group looking for peace, quiet and all the beauty NY has to offer. All arrangement were easily made and every request was taken care of immediately. Our stay was just extended and we feel lucky to contiue in this fantastic location.

Fabulous choice for our vacation!

We had an amazing vacation at this house! It is so spacious; each bedroom has a nice bathroom (especially the master!) and the living areas are huge. The pool is delicious and the view is spectacular. The owners are incredibly responsive - we had a problem with the A/C on Saturday evening and they stopped what they were doing and drove over an hour to come and fix it (it was a circuit problem - the A/C is working fine). The owners are a really a pleasure to deal with and the house worked out great for us.

Great location and beautiful outdoor space

Property is 2 mins away from numerous farms including DuBois. Pool is well maintained and is massive with great landscape in the backyard for large group to enjoy. Would have liked to have inside bit cleaner but I think it comes being outdoor type property.

The house is located on a beautiful property. However, it was not well kept. The kitchen was dirty and pots and pans were dirty as well. We had to clean the entire kitchen before we were able to cook. It really needs a cleaning crew that can clean the entire house.

Beautiful home, needs a little TLC

Large home with new kitchen and baths, beautiful vistas. One of the toilets didn't flush and there were many cobwebs and dead flies on window sills. Could have used a cleaning before we arrived. Linens didn't seems fresh. We enjoyed the pool. We still made good memories!!

The guests left the mansion in a very clean and mint condition. The toilet they mention is a Kohler next generation Smart toilet, probably someone missed the flush button which is hidden by the right side. We are still scratching our heads to figure out why they took out the smoke detectors and google net WiFi pro. We always use fresh linens and towels. Professional cleaners do the job. However, we are glad that they have enjoyed the property and we will host them again.

Family Wedding

It was only about 24 hours. We were only on the property to prepare for wedding and to sleep there after event. When I booked, I missed the fact that it was a required 2 night stay. That was my error.The property is very large, which worked for 9 guests. It is an impressive venue, great views, amenities and literally right up the street from where we were going. We did use the tennis courts and were able to sit outside. This area is desirable, and I would consider using this place again.

I wish I had read more of the negative reviews before booking this house as I agree with the issues they raise. It’s a beautiful piece of property and the house offers a lot of space but feels not well maintained or fully furnished. I would expect more out of a grand home and setting like this.The listing says the pool doesn’t open until summer. Well, I would assume that Memorial Day weekend is the beginning of summer. I would certainly assume that the pool would be clean even if it’s not open for swimming. It was green and full of debris which was very unattractive to look at.There’s a chicken coop, which is fine. I have chickens at home. But there were dead chickens in cages as it appeared they were trying to catch some sort of wild animal. I would’ve expected a note about this from the host explaining the situation rather than having my children discover it.Overall, it didn’t feel like the house had been opened up for the season yet. There were outdoor sofas crammed into the living room, with all of the furniture pushed against the walls.I also found it disconcerting that multiple times during our three day stay a very noisy pickup truck came racing up the driveway to the house, made a circle around the driveway and left. So strange. Lastly there were piles of trash in the driveway and another pickup truck came and looked at, but did not take it away.

Well as the guest mentioned it is a grand property. Many different people play a role to help us maintain it, and they happen to drive pickup trucks. That is out of our control. After a prolonged winter in Hudson valley this year, the pool maintenance company is doing their best to ready the pool for the official summer season that starts June 21, 2026. During that process, the pool water changes color multiple times. Some outdoor furniture cushions move in and out due to rain. Additionally, there have been many fox and raccoon attacks on the coop, and professional animal control is working on it. Trash collection is only on Mondays and our respected guests checked out on Sunday. However, during their stay they never communicated with us and left all the doors wide open.

Beautiful view, half empty

This place is something else. It’s up on the mountain with a beautiful view and the house itself feels like it’s out of a movie. Plenty of space (almost too much!). Very appreciative that our host allowed an early check in! It’s very clear that there is still some gradual work being done as bits and pieces of the house felt unfinished or untouched. There were no overhead lights in the main sitting room, no water glasses, not enough wine glasses for everyone, etc. The smell of the water in the master bedroom was overwhelming. The video cameras were also very unsettling. We absolutely had a great time; there were just some little things that worked against the experience but can easily improve.
