About this property

Quiet Country Living on 15 Acres ~ Self Enter and Checkout!

This is a large 2260 sq. ft. 3 bedroom home in the country with 15 acres of land to roam. Great location, it's 1.2 miles from I-94 and close to golf courses. Splendid scenic setting, 15 miles or 15 minutes from General Mitchell International Airport, 23 miles from Fiserv Forum, American Family Field and Henry Maier Festival Park home of Summerfest. 30 minutes from the Illinois state line and about 45 minutes from Chicago's O'Hare Airport. There is a half mile walking trail in the back yard. Ample room to store a boat for fishing on Lake Michigan or one of the many smaller lakes in the area.

We do have a Ring doorbell installed by the front entrance. There is also a Ring camera on outside of garage for driveway and one facing the backyard mounted on back of house. No other security equipment is INSIDE the property and we will not violate your privacy in any way. PLEASE NOTE THE GARAGE IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR USE. All parking of vehicles, motorcycles, etc. will be outside.

You will be given a keypad code to enter the front door of home and will be able to arrive and check-out without in person contact with us. We offer WiFi service by T-mobile and the router works great.

The home sits approximately 900 feet off the road so be ready to love the quiet plus look up at the moon and all those stars!

I have owned this 20 acre property for many years, had it built for me, and although it will not be open all year round I have decided to let others enjoy what I so love. I use it as a man cave for watching football and entertaining with my family in the colder months, therefore I am only open for rentals from May 1st through November 8th of the year for 7 DAY RENTALS MAXIMUM. In the summer months I garden and simply enjoy being with nature which certainly is in abundance here.

Why they chose this property

It is unusual to find a property such as mine offered to guests with all the peace and quiet on 15 acres of land yet has all the modern conveniences! It's quite wonderful with walking trails and beautiful scenery. No traffic, rarely any noise ~ just peace, quiet for you and your family/friends. So easy to fall asleep and totally relax in! If you enjoy nature, the outdoors or even if you don't, there is no way you won't fall in love with your surroundings here! I offer free Wifi as well. The front 5 acres are rented by a local farmer so that is why it is listed as sitting on 15 acres. Behind the property 1/4 mile in, you will find a small man-made pond (basically offers water for the wildlife) but it has a circular path surrounding it (see picture) or you can simply stay on the main path and not get close to the water. However I caution you so you're aware of this pond and that is why my home is NOT safe for young children. We are not accepting ANY CHILDREN. All guests must be age 18 and over and the main renter must be 30 years or older. I hope you will consider my lovely home for your next visit and thank you for looking at my listing!

What makes this property unique

I just installed a new water softener and I do want to note that parts of the fiberglass showers show some areas of light staining due to the water conditioning not being done properly by a couple previous long term renters. The perils of very hard country water! They didn't advise me the softener was out of salt and they didn't use Crystal Clear provided. Unfortunately I cannot remove these stains BUT please understand it is not harmful to you in any way! I have replaced all 3 toilets so they are fine and dandy. I have my home sanitized and thoroughly clean all needed items between visits just because I like everything spic and span so all is good. The unique benefit of my home is that it IS unique - from its rural location to the modern interior! Please consider giving my home a try and discover the joy in country living!
