As you walk down the stone path and through the door, your cares will fade and your eyes will rise to the vast lake that is one of our continent's greatest. At sunrise the water shines like diamonds, calling you outside to walk past the boathouse, under tall trees and over an expanse of lawn into the old orchard, then wind through the garden and down the path to the lake. Have coffee at the shore, scanning the water where you'll swim and kayak. In the luminous sunset, prepare dinner facing the kitchen's wide bay window, then eat on the terrace in the golden hour. Laidback comfort and nature's peace and grandeur. A sanctuary to refresh and inspire with a feeling that life's horizons are endless. 6-8 guests will fit most comfortably, though there are beds to accommodate up to 10.
Hot tub available for additional fee - 24 hour advance notice required.

We very much enjoyed our stay. Was the perfect location for a softball tournament at the Rec Plex nearby. Short distance to Milwaukee to explore the city.
Wish there would have been more screens in the windows on the main floor so we could have opened them to enjoy the Lake Michigan breezes. Be prepared for mosquitos. The landscaping seems a bit overgrown, but just my personal preference.
Wonderful Place for a Very Special Celebration & Vacation
We had such a wonderful time! The views of Lake Michigan from each bedroom were gorgeous. The house was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was the center of the house and was the epicenter of our stay. Ten people (teenagers, 50-somethings, and 80-somethings) all had space to come together and separate into smaller groups as needed. When the lake was calm, kayak trips did not disappoint! When the waves were high, the sound was very soothing. The HotTub was very relaxing. There was ample yard space to enjoy the croquet set and frisbee that we brought. The tables were big enough for family meals and games. North Beach Park in Racine is a free, clean, and sandy beach nearby that we enjoyed two of the days. We would definitely book again.
From booking to check out everything was smooth and the house was perfect. Wonderful experience and we hope to stay again! Thanks for a perfect spot to make memories.
This house was everything they said it would be and the view was unparalleled. Access to the lake via the short walk down the hill was a hit with everyone. We had a group of 6 adults and the house fit us very well with plenty of places to sleep. We would rent this house again.
This property is very unique. It has the feel that you are all alone on the bluff overlooking the lake. It’s spacious and easily accommodated our group of 10.
The only downside is that the downstairs is not air-conditioned. While there are lovely breezes coming off the lake most of the time, more screens are needed for the doors & windows to get those breezes into the house. If you try to open windows without screens, you get a house full of Wisconsin bugs.
Other than that issue, we loved the property. The path down to the water was mowed and there were chairs to rest & enjoy the fabulous view of the lake. They grandkids loved hunting for marbles at the shore. There were puzzles & games available that we enjoyed.
If you want that sandy beach experience, it’s just a few minutes drive to North Beach in Racine. There are wonderful restaurants in the area. And don’t forget to pick up some Kringle while you are there.
The bedrooms are spacious with comfy beds and the view of the lake from the large windows is spectacular. The fourth room with bunk beds doesn’t have a lake view but the kids liked the layout and were honestly too tired to care.
No one was ready to leave and everyone voted to come back next summer!
The house is spacious and uncluttered. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen adequately stocked. The hot tub and kayaks are a plus! We had a wonderful and relaxing stay.
Had a wonderful relaxing time at this lake house, Amazing views from most rooms, and the house was spacious and comfortable for our family group of 7. Great location, close to shops and attractions, yet in a lovely quiet neighborhood, with direct access to the lake.
The location on the lake is superb — beautiful and private. When it comes to great restaurants, the options are very thin, so plan to cook. House is very comfortable — the AC upstairs is very welcome, though the downstairs runs hot in the summer. We loved it and would come back.
Solidly crafted and beautiful place in a classic/rustic style, overseeing the ocean with access to the lake on a small private beech. Lots of foliage and flowering plants only adds to the privacy and serenity. Very close to the small city of Ravine for visits and dining. Well worth the stay.

Partially Realized Potential
The house itself was perfectly set up for our family—bedrooms are very large and have great views of the lake; living spaces are well zoned for both being together and some separation. Where the property misses a bit is outside. The yard is substantially overgrown (not just weeds or needing to be mowed (which it did) branches actually touch your vehicle driving in). We also noticed poison ivy in a number of locations and dealt with multiple tics on bodies. Still, the views and being right on the water is amazing. Overall really good property—just needs some attention to be great. Oh, and also the hot tub shown requires 72-hr advance notice to use and is an extra $100 which I don't recall being communicated in the listing.
Even in mid-winter, the lake views are fabulous--from multiple rooms. Having two living/sitting rooms with fireplaces was also great, along with the large eating table that was more than adequate for our group. Dinnerware was abundant but we had to scrounge a bit for cookware and poke around for blankets for everyone, given that the house was pretty cold when we arrived. The furniture is more serviceable than luxurious but certainly adequate. The location was great for a family reunion with some driving up from O'Hare, some down from Milwaukee, and some over from Minnesota. On the whole, a great place!
This was a nice property and was the perfect location for us. We came into town to spend Thanksgiving with our son who attends Carthage College. The house was very simplistic and worked great for us. The view out the back windows of the lake are amazing. There is near by shopping in Racine. We would stay at this property again in the future.
We had a wonderful stay!! House was clean and comfortable. Woke early to watch the amazing sunrises over the lake, and listened to the water hitting the rocky shore at night. Lots of privacy and space. Even fell asleep for a bit sitting down by the shore watching sailboats and listening to the water. Will definitely remember this place for another booking! Also, The Hob Nob supper club is just 1.5 miles south. AMAZING food but recommended reservations.
We had a relaxing few days at this property. The sunrises were each unique and beautiful. Highly recommend morning coffee down by the water. House was well equipped and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.
A lovely, spacious lakefront property midway between Chicago and Milwaukee. The house is very comfortable for families, and well-appointed. The views are spectacular, and if you're adventurous you can enjoy the lake by kayak but don't expect to swim. A few tips to upgrade comfort: 1) install screen doors and ceiling fans on the first floor, and provide portable fans - the house gets pretty hot and stuffy without AC. 2) outdoor furniture including tables, lounge chairs, picnic table will enhance the lakefront and outdoor living experience.
We enjoyed the spacious layout, large kitchen and family areas but best was the lake view from anywhere in the house.
Secluded, quiet neighbourhood and large lot as well as amenities for outdoor activities.
Definitely would visit here again.
