Lovely lake house

We had a great stay. The house had everything we needed, was very clean and spacious. The lake was beautiful and we really enjoyed sitting on the dock. We would definitely stay again the next time we’re in Shreveport.

Lake House Retreat

We stayed here over Memorial Day weekend for my son’s graduation from LA Tech. It was a perfect location close to the airport and had plenty of space for the entire family and friends who came to visit. The owner was super attentive, friendly, and easy to work with. Fabulous, spacious lakehouse with amazing views of Cross Lake from every room. There is also a wonderful pier for fishing that has a picnic table, lounge chairs and a swing for enjoying your morning coffee or evening drink.

Great Family Getaway

The pictures didn't do it justice. We weren't sure what to expect when we got there, but it surpassed our expectations. There was plenty of room for everyone inside the house, and there was much more space in the backyard than we expected too. And the brand new boat dock is really nice. The lake breeze was unbelievable.

This property could not have been more appropriate. Aside from being a well maintained, clean house the layout was perfect. Some in town family and friends came over for dinner and were actually talking about renting this house for a “staycation”. It was Great!!

Relaxing, beautiful lakehouse.

We (3 couples) met at the lake house for our annual reunion. It was a relaxing site, all on one level for easy access to all. Right on the lake with a great boat deck for fishing and enjoying the quiet. The house has a good layout providing each couple a bathroom. Owner was quick to respond to questions before our trip and during our stay. We have it on our list to return!

A Pricey Stay with Unwelcome Guests

While the property boasts beautiful lake views and a great layout, our experience was far from enjoyable. Upon arrival, we noticed a dirty kitchen with sticky floors, but the bigger issue arose when we saw a rat run from under the kitchen counter to the dishwasher within 20 minutes of entering. On the second night, we encountered another rat under the kitchen cabinet, confirming a serious pest problem.When we informed the host, their response was dismissive. The suggestion to send the cleaning crew back felt inadequate, as the property should have been properly cleaned before our arrival. We also didn’t feel comfortable waiting around or leaving our belongings unattended during a second cleaning. Even with photo evidence of the rats, the host dismissed our concerns as unreasonable.Other signs of neglect, such as water damage, broken trim, and a pool table missing essential equipment, further reflect poor maintenance. For the high price we paid, we expected much better.This was the first worst rental experience we’ve ever had. A beautiful location doesn’t excuse poor upkeep or pests. I hope the host invests in making this property cleaner, safer, and more hospitable for future guests.
