About this property

I purchased this home in May 2019 and I want to share it with you! Authentic wood beams "vigas" and "latillas", original kitchen wood floors, painted cement floors, copper kitchen sink and walls of Talavera tiles purchased in Mexico, 3 foot thick adobe walls. Just steps to the Mesilla Plaza, restaurants, bars, winery, brewery, shops and galleries.
Front living room is spacious with built in cozy bench, chairs, pellet stove. Next to living room is front bedroom with bathroom attached.. The fully stocked kitchen is the center room and has island plus dining table, electric stove, built in microwave, 2 burner cook top.. Large private patio, grill, covered outdoor washer dryer.

Experience life in old Mesilla

The description of the property and its location was spot-on. The plaza and many restaurants, shops (including a nice book store and a tea shop), bars and even a vintage movie theatre are within a few blocks. There is surely nothing more charming in New Mexico than an original adobe house. The thick walls provided a nice cooling effect that kept the interior a very pleasant temperature even when it was hot outside. It was a bit dark in the interior which was actually quite helpful for sleeping purposes. We slept soundly in the very comfortable bed. There are many similar adobe properties in the area so the ambiance is pervasive. The one minor negative dose of reality is some of the nearby adobe properties are not in good repair so a walk around the neighborhood does not have a Disney perfect look. That said, there is plenty of charm and amenities to definitely make this a terrific place place to stay during a visit to the Las Cruces area.
