We partner with an off site resort called The Wonderer which is located in Downtown Charleston, a short drive away. Any guests staying in our home who are 25+ are able to visit The Wonderer!

*There is a strict age policy, no one under the age of 21 will be permitted on the campus due to the presence of alcohol (including the pool). Special permission needs to be given by The Wonderer for anyone between the ages of 21 - 25.*

The nicely decorated house was very clean with everything you could need. A big plus was the beds were very comfortable. The things we were not happy with was although pet friendly, the backyard was not fenced in; the neighborhood was in an area that always had a bad reputation for the type of people you would not want to be around; it is advertised that you would access to a pool but you have to be 21 years or older. We had a 12 year old with us. The beaches were an option but took some time to get to because of the distance and heavy traffic. The pool was one of the reasons we chose the rental so we were very disappointed. With all that being said, the area has been improving and had some nice breweries close by. We had no issues with the exception of a homeless person asking us for money.

Driving into the property from what seemed poor side of town - Government Housing - A trainer park at the enter of the street and a doublewide next door - No wonder you can “ cancel” for any reason - As you drive in makes you feel uncomfortable and wonder what you just booked. The house was cute but our safety was a concern - In addition the property was not clean. My toddler found hardware that came from the couch - He had just put it in him mouth and I was able to get it from him before he swallowed it. The “ hanging “ water heater is improperly installed - Per the instructions on the side if the appliance. As you sit at the outdoor table you can smell the gas burning off from the exhaust. My concerns were not valid as I shared these after our departure. I’m not sure how you travel with 3 kids - but for us it’s non stop still have a night routine - feeding - bed times - showers - prepping for the next day. Evidently I was supposed to have taken pictures of all the things wrong and sit down write an email .. ? I didn’t have time for that.
