This is a barebones crash pad. It is priced as such. Please do not expect too much. It is priced under market value because it is barebones.

The property was nice and in a good location. Very convenient to downtown charleston. It was clean and cozy. Home away from home. Really enjoyed the stay.
Other than some minor things this house was great. We didn’t have time to get to the beach and thought it would be closer, but that’s ok! Owner was super responsive and the house was accommodating. Next time we are booing for a wedding I will have to think more about bathroom space. Being close to Walmart was super convent!
The property was located perfectly for a wedding we were attending in the area. Not super fancy but well worth the price and not a bad drive to Folly Beach.
This is a barebones home as the listing says but it had what we needed to be comfortable. The home was close to the beach and close to historic district. Grocery store and restaurants within walking distance.
The place was Perfect for me, I stayed 10 days & loved it, It's close to everything including the Beach! It was exactly as described, The Host is Amazing, she makes sure you have everything you need. Will definitely be my go to spot when in town, Thanks Again !
It is a Beautiful little duplex house. With 3 bedrooms and Everything you need! It has its own Kitchen and Living room, even a little Dining room. Great Location right near the beach. It is right on Folly Road so there’s a lot of traffic going by. And then it looks like it was recently painted maybe a little too thick so some of the bedroom doors are hard to close and open, but these were minor things. For the most part, we had a great stay. I would recommend it and consider staying there again on my next visit to Charleston!
The WIFI did not work half of the time, other than that it's like advetised.

Perfect location
Host was great at communicating and was very flexible with us when we needed to change our reservation, seems like a very kind person and easy to work with when planning our trip. Location is absolutely perfect either for spending time in downtown Charleston for sightseeing or for proximity to Folly Beach, and price for that location cannot be beat. Plenty of AC, clean towels, and wifi. Unit was not super clean (floors, bathroom especially) and missing some basics, like extra toilet paper (there was only one partially used roll) and no soap for hand washing in the bathroom. While it said bare bones I still think being clean and enough tp are expected. Two of the beds were great, the third was extremely creaky/Shakey, and felt like the frame would not hold well with much weight, so plan accordingly if your group is large enough to need all three bedrooms. We did see several large cockroaches as well, we know they're common in SC but feel that should be disclosed, especially as the kitchen trash is open with no lid.
The location perfectly fit our needs to be close to our kids for the week. It is also close to stores and restaurants, which was great. The space is good for 2-4 people but cooking would be a challenge as there isn’t a proper stove. It is 10-15 mins from Folly beach and downtown Charleston too! Place was clean, property manager was responsive, easy checkin and checkout as well.
We had a great stay. The home is decorated nicely. No dishwasher or laundry room. Beds are comfy! The home is close to tons of grocery stores, food and more. About a 10min drive to folly beach and super close to James Island County Park. Our little family enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to get back to Folly!
I would definitely stay here again with a small group (only one bathroom). While it was advertised as 'no frills' a few minor adjustments could make the stay much better!
- add a small coffee pot versus the Keurig as sometimes folks like to make a pot of coffee
- advertise there is no water or ice at all in fridge so they may want to bring their own water (a few cheap ice trays could simply be provided in freezer too)
-the blinds in room near carport could be enhanced/fixed so less light comes through
-should be advertised as duplex with clear instructions over which side is theirs (A or B)
House was as expected when you show up site unseen. Bugs were found underneath the sheets in one of the beds, and when we told the property owner about it, she gave a solution of changing the sheets which doesn’t solve the bug problem. When me and my friends said we were not staying there because of the bugs in the bed. She took it to heart and then the conversation got heated. The owner proceeded to take a video of my friend and her one year-old calling her and her child gross and disgusting. Somethings were said that probably shouldn’t have but the owner was very rude. True my friend should have just walked away but the owner should’ve been a bigger person and just stopped engaging but then proceeded to call a 1 year old gross and dirty. If she would’ve stopped the conversation, I wouldn’t have to be writing this.
This was a very comfortable house. Unsure why it has anything less than 5 star reviews. It was convenient to everything. In fact, I wish we could have stayed longer. If there was a larger group there, there may be an issue because there is only one bathroom, but for the price, you cannot beat this. Its basically across the street from food and grocery stores. Convenient to Charleston, Folly Beach, and anything you need. It is a duplex. Just be aware because people get confused for some reason. Its clean and cute! I'd stay here again if I am in the area. The host was accommodating and wonderful! She was quick to respond as well. We enjoyed this convenient and comfy stay!
Everything in the listing is accurate, close to anything you could need, 15ish minutes from the beach. There were plenty of extra towels, toilet paper, dish soap, ect. My kids are still talking about it!
My only con is how close it is to the road. I should have read the listing better. If you’re a parent like me, full of anxiety surrounding your children, then being that close might be something you’d rethink. Other than that I have no complaints!
Overall I think it was a great deal for the money. IA few things we want to
Point out…Concerned about lighting outside (none), gap under front door that allows bugs in (flies etc). The bed was comfy and we had no trouble sleeping. AC was great. Bathroom- no toiletries , sink is loose and socket doesn’t have a circuit breaker
In bedroom behind kitchen the outlet by bed has no cover. Over head light in kitchen didn’t work -there were no ice cube trays.
The place was very clean. It is in a great spot. We were very close to Folly Beach. We were surprised to find that there were no dressers in any of the bedrooms and 2 of them had a place to hang up your items. If we were just there for a weekend that would be fine but we had to live out of our suitcases for 11 days. That was not fun. Ellen was very nice when I asked her any questions. We had to buy all of our supplies, toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags etc. which is fine had we known ahead of time. We could deal with that. We are sorry but we probably will not stay there again. Again I want to point out that Ellen was great to deal with!
This place is exactly as described - a bare bones crash pad. Very clean. Well equipped with most things you would need. Beds were comfortable. As mentioned in other reviews there is no dishwasher or stove but there is a 2 burner hot pad and a combination air fryer/oven that would meet most needs. Location is on a busy road. We had AC issues and a checkin issue, but the host was very responsive to all of those - even the checkin issue at 11pm at night. Internet/wifi is spotty - I wouldn’t plan to work from this location. There is an outdoor space but as mentioned, but on a busy road and in a more commercial area.
The location is ideal if you want to spend time in downtown as well as at Folly Beach. It was about 12 minutes to either. The house is comfortable and clean but not fancy. The listing needs to be updated a bit—there is NO hot tub. There IS a full size fridge and oven/stove. The beds were not the most comfortable (and one squeaked pretty bad) but were sufficient for a few nights. We had to buy our own hand soap for the bathroom, and there were no oven mitts. The coffee maker was a Keurig but there were no pods provided so we had to buy a reusable one in order to use the coffee we brought. Small gap under the door which felt somewhat insecure. Overall a good place to stay; proximity to everything was just what we needed.

Left Early
We left one night early as this place was very disappointing. The property is located on a very busy road. The house is not in good condition. The side door has a 1/4-1/2” gap which allows bugs and is definitely large enough for rodents. Our dog was obsessed with trying to lick in the gap of the kitchen floor and cabinets. When my wife shined her light, she said it was caked with food. The dishes and silverware from the cabinets and drawer were dirty. The beds were noisy and uncomfortable. The primary bedroom has a cheap blind allowing car lights to shine directly into the room. The rugs were grimy and the floors and shower were very soft leading us to believe there is a lot of rot under the floors. We would have left immediately, but we didn’t have choices to change to. I would not recommend.
The location was good because it was close to the beach but it is on a busy road so it is noisy when trying to sleep.
The listing says it sleeps up to 8 but with one bathroom I would only have 6 max.
Several things need to be improved upon. As an earlier review mentioned the blinds need repaired. Several are broken and light shines in from traffic on road making it difficult to sleep.
The door has a huge gap which needs addressed by replacing the door or adding weather stripping. It was very humid even with the air on because of the gap and it was cold a couple mornings when the temp dropped outside.
The air vents were rusty and either dirty or had mold on them. Those need to be replaced and vents checked for mold. My kids woke up stuffy every day.
It was pretty clean when we got there but the sheet on the pull out was dirty and the replacement sheet we found had a hole in it. Not a huge deal but the dirty sheet made us wonder if the other sheets had been changed.
Again, as others mentioned in previous reviews… several light bulbs were burnt out and needed changed. The porch light was useless and could cause injury if someone tripped in the dark. Also, there was watery soap in the bathroom. Someone added water to stretch it and I’m wondering if that was past renters. There were partially used items in cabinets that I would dispose of if it was my property.
My final thought is to put some info in the home giving out the wifi password etc….
