Even from the bed you can enjoy the Atlantic view! The Casa Louro has no direct neighbors and is quiet, away from the roads, in the heart of Prazeres at 590 m altitude. Prazeres itself is relatively flat, the mountainous area in the north offers ideal hiking opportunities. The place is characterized by agriculture and has a cozy, pleasant atmosphere. There are several good restaurants. The friendly Portuguese style can be experienced in this small place very nice. Many pretty flower gardens invite you to a village walk. Near the church there is a small zoo and a herb garden with tea and coffee bar (Quinta Pedagogica). A 5-minute walk away is the farmers market (Mercado dos Agricultores), which is open all day on Sundays. There you will find regional specialties at very reasonable prices. The yellow sandy beach of Calheta is 6 minutes away by car, where you can go swimming all year round. Jardim do Mar and Calheta also offer local swimming in the sea during the winter months (about 6-7 minutes by car).
