Just 5 minutes outside the world famous alpine village of Helen, Ga. this private chalet is adjacent to a 22 acre lake with a picturesqueness mountain view. This home is perfect for spending romantic nights beside the fire pit, fishing with the guys, a girls vineyard getaway, or a fun-filled family weekend. Perfect for small groups of people interested in a nice place to fish, hike or just hanging out. Take the kids to the local water park, putt putt golfing, or mining for gemstones. Private, 22 acre lake, is stocked with large mouth bass, brim, crappie, and trout. Amazing for kayaking, swimming, or just resting in the hammock overlooking the serene lake and stunning views of Mt. Yonah. With the many historical sites in the area, state parks, numerous shopping sites, and kid friendly attractions, our mountain home is sure to become your favorite mountain destination.

Absolutely, breathtaking, gorgeous place. My grandchildren could not stay off the water fishing,boy do we hit the jackpot for them, it was so relaxing, so wonderful to get up in the morning drink coffee by the lake. Everything you need they have, hostess did a fantastic job. we were very pleased. Definitely would love to come back.

Great stay! Good location with easy access to town. Fishing for Bream is fantastic , take a walk down the yard to find the big ones . Watch out for the big ants .

The house is beautiful, and the kids had so much fun fishing, swimming, and kayaking in the lake. The only downside is, there's a lot of road noise all day and night. I will say, the house more than made up for it though. Check in was a breeze, and communication with the host is flawless.

Great time

Enjoyed the house and lake. Spent 5 days with my wife kids and grand kids. Grandkids loved the geese every morning and evening. Fishing is great. Didn’t spend anytime in Helen stayed at the lake house. We will return.

Perfect!

Such a lovely home with the perfect view. The home was immaculate, very clean and very comfortable, beautiful home. My husband and I both said it never felt like we were in a vacation rental, it felt like we were at home, that’s the level of comfort and sweetness this home brings.House had everything we needed. Perfect location, only about five minutes to Helen. Very quiet and peaceful area. Loved sitting outside and watching/listening to the birds on the lake. Nita was wonderful with communication. We can’t recommend this vacation rental enough.

So wonderful! We had so much fun! Close to Helen. Great ambience! The owner always answered my questions promptly and was always so helpful! So yes it is 1 and half bathroom but the bathroom is huge perfect for both family’s that came because it had a tub and massive shower so you can literally put the kids in the tub while you shower. Only one room upstairs had a tv. But upstairs living room had a tv and gaming set up but no need for anymore tvs the views were spectacular. So much space to spread out. We cooked every night everything well stocked. Hot tub was okay. Main objective of a stay like this fishing was great for every angler. From small fish to big fish! So many and very stocked lake. Overall great trip! Will definitely be back!

The pictures don't lie

Finally a property that was not a bait and switch! This house was perfect for our 2 families (4 adults and 3 kids ages 3, 3, and 6). It was EXACTLY like what was in the pictures. The house was very clean and well stocked. They provided SO many towels and had extra bed linens and pillows available. There were even extra toiletries in the bathroom. The back patio is gorgeous! They have cornhole available to use which we of course did and had a blast. We're already talking about possibly coming back over the summer and staying for an extra night or 2. My daughter was in tears because she didn't want to leave she had so much fun. All the communication with the owner was seamless and they were prompt at responding. Oh, also, all the beds were comfortable. No complaints from anyone in our party. Definitely rent out this house any time your in the Helen area. It was a very short easy 8 min drive to downtown Helen. We had so much fun and I know any other family will love it too.

My wife and I have stayed here about 6 times now. You can't beat the convenience of how close the fishing is to the back door. Also it is so quiet on the lake. We will come again.

Fishing Trip

My brother and our spouses enjoyed our trip. The ladies did the sightseeing and my brother and I fished. We caught all the fish we needed from the patio and enjoy fishing on the lake as well.I recommend night fishing as well for catfish off the patio.There’s a great place to clean your fish.Overall, it was a great time.We look forward to another trip in the future.

Weekend getaway

Beautiful home located right on the water. Had a great time taking the job boat out and catchin some bass. This was a perfect place for my fiancé and I to take a quick weekend getaway to reset. Loved it!

Our family built this home in the early 80’s for the purpose of entraining the folks in the community. We have had numerous fishing events on the property . When the property was sold in 2019 my husband and I decided to purchase the chalet from the developer in order to preserve a small piece of our family’s history. After retiring from both the military and being a private business owner , we decided to remodel the home and let everyone enjoy a precious part of our history.

This property has a patio that is 2 foot off the lake edge . We will sometimes sit there all day and fish or just feed the geese.
