Our family would love to invite you to stay with us! This home, once our full-time family home, is the perfect get-a-way. Whether you prefer an escape from the city to quietly read a book while nestled by the fire, or you are looking for an adventure, this home is YOUR spot for a fantastic vacation! From the amazing wineries, "farm to table" restaurants, hiking trails, biking trails, waterfall seekers, nature lovers, fishermen, antique hunters, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
Our home is located 6 miles from the quaint town of Helen, GA, and 7 miles from the Sautee Nacoochee Valley. Only a short drive further and you have Clarkesville, Lake Burton, Batesville and Clayton. Did we mention that we are also in the heart of WINE COUNTRY?! If you are seeking to tour the amazing wineries in the area, the wine bus will pick you up at our home! This house is a true gem and set in a great location for access to many northeast Georgia locations.
This home boasts the setting for family and friends! With the large kitchen/dining/living combo you will feel right at home during your stay. If staying-in is your preference you will find, great Wifi, a hot tub and a cozy fireplace. There is also a fire pit out back. If you prefer to venture out there are endless things to do in the area, including (but not limited to) amazing wineries (check out the tour bus), ziplining, hiking, biking, swimming, amazing farm-to-table restaurants, great fishing (can hire a guide), ATV trails, horseback riding, antique shopping, and the list goes on. Just up the road 3 miles you will find Unicoi State Park which is always hopping with activities for the kids!
This home is based on a true Southern Living (Wildmere Cottage floor plan) design so you can vacation in comfort and style. It was once our beloved family home, and now we have opened it to share with you! This home boasts 3 large bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bath, and an additional loft with two XL full-size beds. Sleeps 6 comfortably. Bring the crew and enjoy your time in the mountains.

Hi! I'm Jamie. I grew up in the mountains and built this home in 2008. When a business opportunity came up in Florida we decided to pack up our family of seven and the leave the mountains. Since we couldn't bare to part with our home; we now share it with others when we aren't enjoying it ourselves.
Why they chose this property
We love this house because we built it for family gatherings and memory making. We have a large family with five children, and we had them in mind during planning. The rooms upstairs were originally built as a "boys" room and a "girls" room. You have to visit to guess which one! There is also a loft that once served as our children's playroom which now holds a double bed.
Our favorite thing to do is gather around the kitchen island cooking our favorite meals. We always visit the Nacoochee Farm on our way in to gather eggs and sausage (when in stock). When we are here we feel time slow down and the busyness of life slips away. Our mornings are spent on the front porch with coffee, and our nights are found by the fireplace with family and long conversations.

What makes this property unique
This is not your typical all-wood cabin, but rather a home that is timeless and native to the area. You will find these type homes all over NE Georgia. Many are not available as rental, but we have made this one available to share.
While it isn't covered in wood from floor to ceiling, we have made every effort to make sure your stay is warm and cozy with a mountain farmhouse touch! You will notice we are updating room by room, so check back often for updates as we make progress!
