The property was clean with many bedrooms and bathrooms. The game room and hot tub were great for relaxing after skiing at Mount Sunapee. Communication was great and we enjoyed our stay.
Our group spent a ski weekend and loved our time there.
The host went above and beyond, and was great. The house is beautiful and spacious.
Great location, great people, great home
We were very impressed by how spacious and cozy this home was. Beautiful and modern. Very clean and tidy. Perfect for a weekend away with family and friends. The hot tub was very relaxing and spacious as well. We would totally consider coming back!
It was a great place to stay for a family gathering over a long weekend.
We stayed 4 nights and had 10 adults. The open kitchen / dining area worked perfect. The hot tub and the basement game room were well received by all. One night we also used the outdoor grill. All the appliances worked well.
The house was great. Lots of space, lots of bedrooms, a great hot tub, game room with foosball, big open kitchen and a pellet stove that heats up the place really well. This house was great for 2 families. I wish the kitchen had a few more items, like a grater, some more serving platters, but overall it was great.
Long weekend away with family. 15 minutes from Sunapee ski - great mountain. House was awesome- lots of room for everyone. The place was clean and had everything we needed. We LOVED having the pellet stove! Other than skiing - not much else to do but nonetheless we loved it. Would recommend this house!!
Just as described and just what our group was looking for! 3 bedrooms on top floor, one on main floor with kitchen, and one in the basement (FYI no bathroom in basement but easy access to one on main floor). The shuffle board and darts in basement were fun, and we liked having multiple spaces to hang out inside, covered hot tub, and the 3-season porch. Kitchen was nice and had the essentials but sparsely stocked. Would stay here again!
This workhorse rental meets the minimum, but we won't seek it out again or tell our friends. The kitchen is great for cooks and the open concept great room was a nice place to hang out after a day if skiing. However, the "nuts and bolts" of the house are a bit flimsy and worn out. The beds are tired and sag. Feeling the springs provided a rough nights sleep. M
The house was lovely. We'll equipped and comfortable. However the advertisement " steps to the pond" was a little deceptive. The pond was a 5-10 minute walk (with infant) to the water. It was not feasible for us to get the kayak to the water. Still, overall, the property is beautiful and the area scenic with lots of attractions.
No internet service! Which was a big problem as two people in our group work from home. Children had no TV access without internet. The refrigerator did not work. Only had a mini refrigerator available. Had to keep food in coolers outside and everything froze as temp was in the single digits. Not very happy with accommodations .

Hi Beth,
In reply to your review, we totally understand the internet and fridge issues were an inconvenience during your stay. We acknowledged the situation was not ideal and tried to work it out as fast as possible. Unfortunately the internet issue was out of our control, as the new router delivered was not the issue, but a problem with the internet company, probably related to the storm we were having at the time. We did compensate you for the inconvenience with a refund to your credit card. Even though we feel that we did a good job at communicating via the Vrbo app and phone calls to coordinate a solution, we understand that unfortunately our corrective actions were not up to your expectation, which we're truly sorry for. We have fixed both issues now and hope to host you again some other time! Best, MH Team
We had a good time staying at this property. However, I don't think the location of the house to Chalk pond is accurate. The house is located .5 mile to Chalk pond beach and it's not feasible with the 4 children ranging from 8 to 1 years of age. The house does not overlook the pond as described because the view is blocked by the trees and leaves; maybe in the winter, but not in the summer!
There was a bucket underneath the kitchen sink collecting leaking water and the smell was not pleasant. We had to empty the bucket as it was almost overflowing!
We ended up having to drive to lake Sunapee every day! It was quite an inconvenience, plus the cost of getting to the Sunapee State park!

Last Minute Surprises
The property is well maintained and it’s in a great location.I rented the house because it was just a few minutes away from our niece and family (who are permanent residents of NH), and wanted to celebrate my husband’s 80th birthday with them as well as my immediate family : daughters spouses and 3 grandchildren. The house was perfect for our group of 9. Unfortunately we arrived to find that the refrigerator was not working and a dorm size fridge was there for us. In addition the internet was not functioning either so I had a difficult time trying to navigate through the process of settling in and unpacking. I must say that the management person was very receptive and apologetic for all of the issues and did try to resolve the issues. I was issued a credit for a portion of my total payment. We were able to enjoy and use the enclosed porch which was not heated as a makeshift fridge! Overall I would say that it’s the ideal house with ample space for a large family gathering.I would rent again and hope that we have a working refrigerator! AND GIVE IT 5 STARS
