Located in the Vista Norte neighborhood of Palm Springs, Casa El Cid is a short 5 minute drive to downtown dining and shopping. Close to museums, art galleries, Palm Springs Aerial Tramway and fabulous architecture Palm Springs is world famous for. 10 minute drive from Palm Springs International Airport.

PALM SPRINGS SOUND ORDINANCE:
You must read and acknowledge the City of Palm Springs Good Neighbor Brochure prior to booking Casa El Cid. Palm Springs has a zero tolerance policy regarding any type or volume of amplified music outside of the home at any time. This includes any type of speakers, including music played on a cell phone. If indoor or outdoor music can be heard from the property line you are in violation of the city sound ordinance. You can/will be fined if city authorities are called to the house. Any fines incurred will be the sole responsibility of the renter. Palm Springs does not issue warnings for violation of the sound ordinance and if authorities are called you will face immediate eviction from the home and forfeiture of all fees paid.

SURVEILLANCE CAMERAS:
For guests and owners safety there are 4 video surveillance cameras operating at all times on the exterior of property. One video doorbell is at the front door, one camera is aimed at the driveway/street above the garage, and two cameras are in backyard aimed at each side gate with video and photo capture. There are no cameras on the interior of the home and no cameras are aimed at any widows of the home or the pool or hot tub. Any attempt to disable or obscure the cameras will be considered a violation of house rules and subject to cancellation of the rental and forfeiture of fees paid. Palm Springs Girls Trip

We loved our stay in Palm Springs. The house is conveniently located and very well maintained. The mattresses in all the bedrooms are the BEST we’ve slept on. The hot tub is fabulous, we did not use the pool. We had a slight issue with the front door lock but the owners contacted us right away about it and then it was fine. I would stay here again.

Best getaway spot in Palm Springs!

This house far exceeded our expectations! It was the perfect girls getaway in Palm Springs. Loved the decor, they've done a great job making it feel fun and festive. Pool and hot tub worked well (check pool heating fees ahead of time), we loved the relaxed and quiet outdoor space. Kitchen was well stocked with basics like oils and spices, and all the appliances and dishes we needed. Bathrooms had shampoos and conditioners which was nice for us carry-on only travellers. It truly felt like a weekend of luxury, being able to open the bedroom sliding-glass doors to the pool deck, and marvel as the beautiful mountains and palm trees all around. Location was good too, while we weren't walking distance to town it was a nice quiet neighbourhood and only short uber ride everywhere. Highly recommend!

Alex & Deborah's home is beautifully decorated and has all the amenities you need for being on vacation. The location is super convenient...close to restaurants, grocery stores and to the downtown area. The listing is accurate, and the outdoor space is perfect. Large pool, great hot tub, outdoor seating and a great view of the mountains. The owners were super responsive via email. We were very pleased with this rental! You won't be disappointed.

Getaway to Palm Springs

We had a fantastic 4 day trip to Palm Springs. It was a first with us. We travelled with an infant. Alex was so responsive before we arrived, providing all info needed to get in safely. House location is perfect, short drive to downtown palm springs and super quiet neighborhood. Manager was very responsive to questions when we first arrived. Alex was so gracious to even provide a pack n play for our infant so that we didnt have to travel with one. Pool and outdoor space were so great with awesome views of mountains. Def recommend heat in pool if traveling outside of peak heat time (it was a nice dip in the mornings!). Overall couldn't have had a nicer time.

Working in film production and real estate respectively we tend to get wound up pretty tight and need to escape Los Angeles and reset periodically. That inspired us to find places we could get to with relative ease that would allow us the freedom to do lots or do nothing. All of our properties do that.
We have been in love with the local desert and mountains for years. First discovering the majesty of the Mojave almost 10 years ago on a weekend excursion. After staying in a number of Airbnbs we decided to find a place of our own, falling in love with a little 1960 homestead cabin that hadn't been touched in years. Shortly after while exploring Idyllwild we stumbled across a 1925 former hunting lodge that had been in the same family for more than 40 years. Most recently we nabbed an unmolested Hugh Kaptor home a stones throw from downtown Palm Springs and embarked on a remodel that highlights the Palm Springs lifestyle. All three locations offer amazing vistas and a carpet of stars at night. Hike in Joshua Tree Nation Park, scale San Jacinto Peak in the San Bernardino National Forest or float in bliss in Palm Springs. Peaceful and restorative the high and low desert and mountains are the perfect escape.
