Quiet family neighborhood with sidewalks and mature trees in the heart of Wilmington. Sleeps 10 but two of the beds are cots. Great indoor space for families and outdoor space by the fireplace. Hot tub on the porch. Newly renovated master shower. Fitness equipment in the garage for morning workouts. Organic master bedroom mattress and organic queen mattress upstairs. Grand piano in the living room. Dining room table plus table in kitchen allow for large family gatherings. 2 TV areas one downstairs and one upstairs. 10-15 minutes to Wrightsville Beach and 8 minutes to downtown Historic Wilmington. Jump on the Cross City Trail and walk 1 mile to the Starbucks or through the back of the neighborhood to Port City Java. *There is a camera front doorbell and a security camera looking over the rear patio towards the driveway and garage.

PERFECT Stay

We were in town for a family wedding and this house was absolutely perfect! The hosts were so nice and accommodating - they were so easy to communicate wish! The house was beautiful, clean, welcoming, and the perfect location. Right by downtown. The hosts had even put out little smores kits for our kids. I highly recommend this house for families or anyone traveling to town!

Excellent Home - 10/10

Home was very clean, well kept and spacious. Owners were very responsive - wonderful communication. Great location! Excellent security features. Would definitely recommend this home and would reserve again if we came back to the area.

Son's wedding

Beautiful home and property. Everything and anything needed was available. Home is furnished beautifully, and extremely comfortable. Plenty of room for everyone. Hot tub a huge success.

Family Weekend getaway

The house was wonderful and fully stocked. The hot tub was very nice to enjoy in the evenings. The only concern was that we had to deal with several roaches. The POC did state the reason way we were encountering them was due to the heavy rain. If the problem is rectify, we would love to stay again.

My family moved to Wilmington in 1981. After college and a short time in Fayetteville my wife and I were able to move back to Wilmington where my family is in 1993. We have 3 children and 2 grandchildren. All of them are here in Wilmington. It is home and a wonderful place to be and raise a family. Hawthorne Place has been our family home for since 2005. We love our street and our neighbors. Our cul-de-sac has always been filled with kids.

Why they chose this property

Our home is very spacious to hold family gatherings and is centrally located to both the beaches and the historic downtown. The cross city trail is just around the corner. Our neighborhood is full of mature trees and sidewalks to enjoy them.
