Ishq Colombo was the much-loved home of the Yusoof family and continues to welcome discerning visitors as cherished personal house guests. The name, ‘Ishq’ stems from the Arabic word for love and passion. Designed by Channa Daswatta, a protégé of the late architect Geoffrey Bawa, this exclusive-use four-suite luxury villa sleeps up to 10 guests and was born out of a passion to share the epitome of luxury and the warmth of a family home. Inspiration is everywhere – interior areas are adorned with Moroccan artwork and carpets, rare collectibles and Sri Lankan pettagamas whilst outdoor areas are an exotic vision of mature gardens, terraces and tumbling vines.

A discerning team of managers, butlers and attendants staff the villa, with private chef poised to create incredible personalised dining experiences.

Tucked into a quiet leafy neighbourhood, the villa provides a tranquil and very exclusive base for experiencing Colombo’s attractions, spas, contemporary art galleries, varied dining scene and independent boutiques. After a day spent exploring the city, return to the exclusivity of the villa for a balmy dip in the swimming pool and a sensational meal shared with friends, followed by a post-dinner soak in the rooftop jacuzzi.
