About this property

Stargazing Themed, Pet Friendly Peaceful Mountain Home Perfect for Groups

Welcome to the most beautiful mountain getaway in Western NC, nestled 35 minutes from Asheville. There is truly something for everyone here.

Stargazing is amazing. So amazing in fact that we are leaning into that theme by providing a serious telescope and accessories so you can sit outside and gaze at the heavens like you don't have the time to do at home. Sit by the fire pit in Adirondack chairs, have s’mores, and see shooting stars every few minutes.

From the decks, enjoy remarkable sunset views of Slickrock, Rocky Knob, High Peak, and other striking mountains with a peaceful valley below. Relax in a brand new oversized hot tub overlooking the mountains. Enjoy the game room with ping pong, arcade, shuffleboard and bar.

Want to bring your furry friend? (we mean your pet of course) We have tried to provide you the things that make it easier to travel with an animal but that are difficult to pack such as a large dog sized crate inside the home, and a heavy duty doggie zip line running across the property so your pet can be safe and secure while you explore. Burnsville and Asheville are so pet friendly that you could even take your animal out to eat with you to many restaurants. We ask that you keep your pet on the bottom floor of the home for the comfort of our guests with pet allergies so that this home can have the best of both worlds for your entire group.

Countless activities from hiking to kayaking, stargazing, dining out, and shopping.

The Space:
Get amazing rest on three new luxury, pillow-top king-sized beds with luxury pillows and linens. The fourth bedroom has two comfortable bunk beds with full-sized bottom and twin top bunks, suitable for adults too..

White noise machines and blackout shades are in every bedroom. Three spacious and well-appointed bathrooms keep everyone comfortable. Forgot your phone charger? There’s one in every room :)

Ridgeview’s open living room features a gas fireplace and gorgeous views from the oversized luxury sofa with double-wide chaise.

The kitchen is stocked for hosting, cooking, and baking. Cookie sheets, cutting boards, serving dishes, sharp knives, stand-up mixer, blender, toaster oven, ice maker, and a big gas grill on the deck.

The game room features a new arcade game plus shuffleboard, a ping pong table and an acoustic guitar. There's also a bar with a mini-fridge and glasses, cocktail tools and supplies.

Five new smart TVs feature all streaming services with lightning fast wifi from our top-of-the-line router. New washer and dryer are in the basement.

We are parents ourselves, so our home is kid and baby friendly. Included supplies are: toys, books, pack n' play, noise makers, booster seats, baby gate, and kid plates, cups and cutlery.
Guest access
You will have the entire mountain house to yourself with a keyless lock.

Exactly What I Wanted It To Be
Eight woman aged 50-63 together for a long weekend to celebrate a birthday. We were family--blood and chosen and had known each other for between 17 & 56 years. We talked, laughed, cried, reminisced and re-energized and it was empowering and healing and the location and house gave us the space to do all of that. The house lacked for absolutely nothing and the views were spectacular. It was easy just to sit and be when that time was needed. But it was equally easy to laugh and celebrate when the time came. Found a fabulous short hike and waterfall nearby, and visited the much revered Penland School of Craft both of which were a very short drive away. We asked for a recommendation for a place that would "cater" dinner and ended up choosing a local chef who did a 3 course meal at the house for our Saturday evening celebratory dinner. The chef and the server were pleasant, unobtrusive and truly well versed in their trade. The food was impeccable in taste and presentation. I found her prices to be very reasonable as well. All in all I would stay here again; I think it would be fun with a multi generational family group as well. The only thing I didn't get to do was lay in the hammock with a good book; guess I'll have to book another stay.

Family trip
We enjoyed this house so much. It was perfect for our two families to get together. Room for everyone to spread out and the games and ping pong was perfect for the young adults and teens. My son called the house Cozy and said it was his favorite thing on our trip. The host have stocked the house so well and definitely invested in this property to make sure you have everything you need. We would definitely rent this house again for a future stay.

Amazing!! A Must visit spot
We are so pleased with this stay. The most beautiful view from the hot tub ! Clean home with a comfort that most places never deliver on. The best pillows I’ve ever used !! I need to find them ! They have a kitchen that is ready for a family and gathering . We brought a lot of kitchen equipment thinking we would need it and was happy to find out we didn’t . I wish we had stayed longer to enjoy all the beautiful area to have a fire and get lost in the view . My favorite area was for sure the living room with the fire place and double large window stretched across the whole area. I had my two kids there for the first night before I brought them to their father and they were so in love with the cool video cakes downstairs and rocking horse . This is the best joke to book if you have a family of wide ranges. IF YOUR LOOKING AT THIS HOME RIGHT NOW , book it !!!! A true magical get away !!!

My name is Sonny and my wife and I love to travel. We are a young family and truly value having a space conducive to everyone enjoying themselves no matter their age. We have traveled extensively and stay in many short term rentals. When we put our home together for short term rental we took the observations we had from our years of traveling together both before our children and after and tried to make a space that had everything we appreciated when we stay somewhere. We are interested in quality over quantity and know that experiences and memories are more valuable than any material item. We are very particular about cleanliness and it took some time, but we found a cleaning team who we are very proud to work with because they care about it as much as we do. Our family comes to enjoy this property ourselves every few months and that gives us a great opportunity to keep an eye on things and make improvements where they are needed. This place is special to us and we hope that your family and friends can find as much peace and happiness here as we have.

Why they chose this property

Burnsville is in a unique nexus of small town living in the world of 40 years ago, and at the same time undergoing a renaissance into an extension of Asheville where people can be whatever they want and food and drink reign supreme. Our little neighborhood is surrounded by artists and farms with very friendly cows, and is nestled into a mountain so you feel like you are in a world that moves at a much slower pace. Yet just 35 minutes away you can be in the city of Asheville with food, entertainment, and adventure at your fingertips. If you travel ten minutes the other direction you are in the town of Burnsville walking the town square and antiquing. This is just the perfect location to have the best of both worlds and that is so nice especially when generational families visit because everyone can find something engaging to do. The very best fun though is just being together and enjoying the home with all of the amenities we offer because you don't have to go anywhere- everything you need is right here.

What makes this property unique

It's very important to us to cater to a discerning clientele. We are careful not to allow groups who are there to party and disrespect the property. It's in a peaceful area in a quaint little town with close access to Asheville and the best foodie scene in the Southeastern United States. We have upscale amenities and focus on cleanliness so that the experience of each guest is truly 5 star. We have a property manager who lives close by and is available for any issues that arise, and we have a hospitality team that we worked very hard to put together to offer our guests extra services such as family photography, in home massage, private chef services, and more.
One of the best features of our house is that there are basically three separate areas. Each floor is like it's own little world and we have 3 king size suites so especially when you are traveling with other people, we know how important it is to have your own space to retreat to and yet also have communal areas where everyone can be together if they want to. We really feel like our house does that well. With three master suites and an entire floor for the youngsters, along with the sprawling decks and outdoor amenities, everyone can have their own space and still come together as a whole group. That helps a lot with family dynamics.
We know you have many choices of places to stay in the area. We look to succeed not by being the cheapest or the most common experience, but instead by being high quality and offering you unique amenities. We truly want you to have the best time ever. Whether you are a group of friends enjoying each others company, or a multi-generation family looking to spend some quality time together- this is the bespoke property to choose where you will have privacy and everything you need to enjoy your time, but also the care and attention of our team to whatever degree you want us involved.
