Misleading and emotionally stressful.
When I found this VRBO property, I was happy that it was close to fashion square and Old Towne Scottsdale. This condo was staged to look like it was a bright and sunny spot, which had just been renovated into a two bedroom with a wide open space leading to the outdoor patio & BBQ. On the surface it looked modern and perfect, until we arrived. This place was filthy from top to bottom. It was apparent that after a reno, no one had gone in to deep clean this property. The dust, dirt, and spider webs in every corner, freaked both my husband and I out. I did not want to sleep in the bed let alone eat off any of the plates, cutlery or glassware. We tried reaching out to the owner who continually ignored our messages and who had her colleagues continually lie to us about her where abouts. I finally ended up spending my first few days deep cleaning this condo from top to bottom. I was angry, resentful and felt that I had the wool pulled over my eyes. Even the name on the VRBO listing was not the real name of the person who owned this condo. Maria Benson was fake.
While we had a BBQ, we had no utensils to use, there was zero light outside to see what we were cooking, and we were missing needed /amenities. We had spent a lot of money to rent this property for 3 months.
After several attempts to meet her, she was rude and let us know that her idea of clean and ours were not aligned. In the end she paid us 500 for cleaning & 200 for buying the utensils & cleaning supplies
