We loved every minute of staying in this house. It was an amazing location, very clean and immediately felt like home. Communication with Sarah was excellent. I would not hesitate to stay here again in the future.
Beautiful home with plenty of space for our family to enjoy time together and also quiet time apart. Fantastic location. Sarah’s ease of communication made navigating a new area easeful.
This is a lovely, rustic home that is in an ideal location for skiing at Solitude. Our group thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were overwhelmed by the beauty of the mountains and the area. The house was very well equipped, cozy and comfortable for our group.

I loved that you were able to enjoy all the extra things our home provides like extra cookware and glasses and cloth napkins. The flowers you left also were a testament to your making it home while you stayed there and i loved that. I hope we can welcome you again.
Great time skiing in the mountains. House and location was great for everything we needed. Thank you Sarah for hosting us in your home.

Thank you for taking care of my home like it was your own.
Our family of 7 (5 adults, a baby, and a toddler) booked this house as a jumping off place for a spring break ski vacation. The house was spacious and very well appointed. The host was very accessible and communication was flawless.
Have nothing but good things to say about our stay here. The property is meticulously put together and homely. The layout of the rooms allows for privacy and the first floor brings everyone together.
Sarah was an amazing host and the chalet was the perfect spot to gather with our after skiing. The ski out from Solitude was a fun end to the ski day and the short walk for a dinner at The Silver Fork was a nice dinner out. The chalet was extremely well set up for the wide range of meals that we prepared. Thanks a lot!
This house is amazing!!! Loved everything about this home. Location is great. Short drive to Solitude, and just little bit longer drive to Brighton. Sarah the owner is just the best! She helped me with all the big and small details. We definitely plan on making this home a regular one that we stay in.

I’m so glad your group enjoyed our home . You are welcome back any time.
The house is great and Sarah was very helpful. Our extended family enjoyed the nearby ski resorts and relaxing in front of the fire and we would gladly return.
Just one note of caution about the location... in the winter, you'll need 4x4 or chains and the Guardsman pass is closed, so it's an hour to get to Park City (more if road conditions or traffic are bad).

I'm so sorry you were expecting us to be 15 mins from Park City. when we are in fact three minutes from Solitude. The mapping on VRBO is obviously wrong. Except for big snow days when 4 X 4 is required in the canyon people find our proximity to the main canyon road quite helpful and can often get away with a regular front wheel drive. I'm so glad your group timed it right with the constant storms.
Fantastic home one mile from Solitude 3 miles from Brighton. Of particular importance with the storms that arrive the home is a twenty foot driveway off the main road, so you'll never be caught unable to get out especially with Nico coming every morning to snowblow or shovel. Lots of pots and pans and spices, although don't count on everything, stock up at Costco or Walmart.

Perfect place for a family ski vacation.
We stayed for a family ski trip. The house is just minutes from Solitude and Brighton. We love to cook big evening meals. The kitchen was amazing and well stocked. The dining room was charming and cozy.
The layout of the bedrooms is such that each room feels private and quiet.
Sarah was very responsive and accommodating. We try to pick different destinations for our annual family ski trip but we all agreed this one is worth repeating.

Thank you for the lovely review. I’m so glad the kitchen was a hit. I see you even used the micro grater!
We came here to ski Brighton and Solitude and it did not disappoint. Easy access (though if you get a pow day like we did leave early) and we even did some drop offs. They kept the driveway plowed so getting out early wasn't an issue. House worked well for two families with a nice main kitchen and a small mini apartment. Able to cook there for meals or run to the resorts to eat dinner. Would definitely stay again.
Our group of retired men absolutely loved this property. The home is beautiful and had everything we needed. Great location close to Solitude and Brighton. Well equipped and very clean and comfortable. Sarah is a wonderful host and was quick to respond to any questions we had before and after our trip. We've stayed at a number of homes and condos for our annual trip and the Flexible Mountain Ski House was the best. Thank you Sarah for everything and for sharing your fantastic place with us!

I’m so happy your trip to our canyon was a success. Your were wonderful guests and great to communicate with.
This was one of the coziest mountain properties I’ve ever stayed at. By cozy, I don’t mean small-sized, the house has tons of room, I mean cozy in terms of feeling. The two wood stoves were beautiful, and we had great conversation hanging out around the hearth after ski days, enjoying the warmth of friends and fire. The host was amazingly responsive, and everything worked well at the house. With the close proximity to Solitude and Brighton, it was easy to get skiing without an annoying long drive up the canyon. Great place to stay!
House was great, stocked with everything you need. The only issue was 2 of the bunk beds were very short and could only accommodate small children. So there's only 6 full size beds. We had to utilize the couch for our 7th person, which was ok because they were big enough to sleep on.

Connor I wish you had asked me about the beds if you were surprised. There is a full sized trundle in the studio you must have missed. I do say the bunk beds are for children under 8 years old .
We just got back from a lovely week at this home. The layout was perfect for our family of 9, which included 3 young kids (who loved the games and dress-up chest in the house). Kitchen had everything we needed. Sarah was an amazing host who took great care to make our stay easy and comfortable, especially considering the incredible amounts of snow they've had this year (which required a team of guys to come shovel off the roof and regular driveway clearing). Thank you so much! We hope to come back sometime!
This was a Family ski trip. There were ten of us and this house was super clean and met all our needs. To say the owner was wonderful would be an understatement. She is the BEST. Communication was great. Driveway plowed everyday so it made getting to the slopes so easy. Great snow and a good time was had by all. If we ski Utah again, we would Definately choose this place. Thank you for accommodating our needs.
Blessings to you, Carolyn

Beauty-Inside and Around!
This mountain house provided a perfect place to gather with family and friends! The kitchen was well-equipped, and there were plenty of linens, beds, and places to relax. Each beautifully-decorated room of the house offered its own comfortable vibe with books and games galore. We especially enjoyed our dinners around the table in the dining room, where we laughed and caught up with our sons and their friends. This house was the place to be after a long day of skiing, and the short distance to Brighton was a bonus! Sarah was available for any questions and helped to be certain our stay was all that we needed it to be. We can't say enough about the house and the surrounding beauty of the canyon.

About the host
Hosted by Sarah Langridge
I'm a Realtor with Keller Williams in Park City. Originally from the U.K, I used to live at this property and moved to Park City in 2010.
Why they chose this property
I purchased the home back in 1990 and did a complete renovation that took 4 years. I wanted a home that had no bedroom that sat next to another bedroom and would give great privacy to everyone there. I also wanted two living rooms that were separated so activities in one wouldn't interfere with the other. I had been running a small bed and breakfast in Alta for 10 years and so knew what it was in a home that guests wanted. I created it here. I was also a private chef at the time so the kitchen is very well laid out and is easy to work in even with a crowd. I love to be in the mountains and this canyon has every thing. Uncrowded slopes, great mountain biking. A wonderful cross country track, excellent back country and superb snow shoeing, yet we are only 15 minutes from the base of the canyon. In the summer we are just 25 minutes by car to Park City over the pass on the Guard road.
What makes this property unique
We have sleds in the garage for kids. Snow shoes, games and NetFlix on demand movies. Something for everyone! If you are arriving late and would like me to do a grocery shop I can free of charge (you just pay for the groceries). Also ask me about discount ski passes.
