About the host

I BOUGHT THIS PROPERTY TO SPEND SUMMERS AT THE BEACH AND FULLY RENOVATED IT BEFORE MOVING IN. LOVE THE SMALL QUAINT NEIGHBOR BAR AND RESTAURANT JUST AROUND THE CORNER. OTHER RESTAURANTS AND A GREAT ICE CREAM SHOP JUST A SHORT WALK. I LOVE THE FACT YOU ARE IN A CITY BUT THIS LITTLE AREA FEELS LIKE YOU ARE IN A SPECIAL BUBBLE OF QUIET BEACH COMMUNITY.
Why they chose this property
Live in this desirable water community with only a short walk to several beaches, clubs, restaurants, parks, and more! The kitchen has a GE Cafe refrigerator, gas stove, dish washer and a GE microwave and range hood. The living/family room has a beautiful fireplace. A CUSTOM OFFICE FOR WORKING FROM HOME IS JUST OFF THE KITCHEN. Gorgeous hardwood floors are throughout the downstairs and second floor. A deck and terrace in the back seems like a piece of paradise complete with a flower garden and an outdoor shower as well.. we also have a summer party kitchen / storage space for bikes etc near the fire pit and lower level patio.
It is great for soaking up some sun, taking off on your kayak or paddle board, and watching colorful sunsets. Shippan Point is close to downtown Stamford, Stamford Metro Railroad, I-95, and just 35 minutes from A stone’s throw from the Big Apple, Stamford offers quiet living with culture to spare

What makes this property unique

While it may be close to New York City, Stamford’s unique local culture has an identity all its own. Music is big, with the Stamford Center for the Arts, the Stamford Symphony Orchestra, and numerous outdoor music events packing the entire calendar. The free Harbor Point Trolley System runs downtown routes every day of the week, making it easy to get around without having to hunt for parking. Beautiful waterfront areas such as Cove Island Wildlife Sanctuary serve up lovely scenic views. Consistently named one of America’s safest cities by the FBI, Stamford is a great community for families.
Of course, one can’t ignore Stamford’s closeness to New York City, which is easily accessible by regular commuter rail service and the Connecticut Turnpike. If you’re looking to get even farther out of town, Stamford is within driving distance of four major airports, including JFK and La Guardia.
