First time VRBO - give it a try

My daughter and I go to Edmonton a lot for skating competition, but it is the first time we rent via VRBO instead of hotel. We typically don't like to go to restaurant or eat fast food; this was by far the best stay we've had and I don't think I'll go back to doing hotels... Give it a try! Communication was easy and fast, great hosts.

For our purposes the location was great and easy to navigate to any of the areas of Edmonton that we frequented .The condo is a well designed open and bright space. Despite the number of units in the building and occupancy it is very quiet. The beds and bedding are comfortable. For a short term stay the kitchen would be adequate; however, for the length of time we were there the provisions for meal prep and clean up were minimal compared to other VRBOs we have experienced.Wifi and ROKU worked great. We found the sofa very uncomfortable and in need of maintenance, as well as the ottoman - the legs are mostly all loose on both pieces of furniture. The condo is very clean other than the 2 area rugs, Definitely some maintenance issues that are in need of attention that don’t affect the overall use.Easy check in and out. Hosts quick to communicate.bFor anyone with any mobility issues the tub has high sides and nothing to stabilize oneself when getting in or out of it. Water pressure and heat control was good with a great shower head.

Thank you for your thoughtful feedback Gary. We’re glad to hear the location, cleanliness, quiet building, comfortable beds, Wi-Fi, and communication worked well for your stay. We also appreciate you pointing out the areas that could use attention, including the sofa/ottoman, rugs, kitchen provisions, and bathtub accessibility. We’ll be reviewing these items with our team and the property owner to see where improvements and maintenance can be made for future guests. Thank you again for staying with us.

Christmas Condo

This condo suited our needs very well. It is located in the south west of Edmonton where we have family and this location was absolutely perfect for us. We were 6 adults. My two aging parents needed accommodations without stairs their own room and an ensuite. We were able to have our own room as well and our two older adolescent children (17 & 18) had the couch. We did bring an air mattress for one of them. The condo was cleaned fairly well, soap dispensers were gross with soap gunk, the sectional sofa could use a good vacuuming and the light fixtures were dusty leaving it feel a bit dimmer than it was. We did have some concerns that were addressed once we were able to find the correct contact information of the owner. The instructions for entering the condo were excellent and also for leaving the accommodations. We would stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay. The condo was perfect for our girls’ getaway and we had lots of room for cards, visiting and sleeping. We were busy during the day and it was easy to get around from the condo to where we wanted to be. We only ate breakfast in the condo because we went out for nice suppers (lots of restaurants nearby), but the kitchen was equipped to have all of your meals there. The balcony was a lovely place to have morning coffee and an evening nightcap! The hosts were exceptional with their communication and ensuring our stay went smoothly. We would definitely stay here again!
