Located in the oceanfront Niihau Building, your top-floor condo features unobstructed ocean views and is filled with thoughtful touches. Enjoy morning coffee and the sound of the waves on your breezy private lanai. Whip up beach snacks in the kitchenette - with a sink, microwave, mini-fridge, and coffee maker. Extras include AC, high-speed WiFi, TV, and beach towels.
THINGS TO KNOW This vacation rental is not equipped with a washer/dryer. However, towel exchanges are offered for guests every Monday and Thursday. This property is managed by Vacasa Vacation Rentals of Hawaii LLC. Third-floor unit, no elevator.

Great location to overlooking the ocean. Property is close to shopping and restaurants. The beach on the property is very small but almost no one goes there. Would definitely stay again!

Best location
For our age, retired, we just wanted quiet, relaxing time. This was just what we needed. This was our fourth year in a row in Kauai. We'll be back next year.
Top floor oceanfront unit highly recommended if you like watching whales! Everything you need within walking distance. Definitely the sunny side of the island, if the forecast says its going to rain all day, it never does.

Amazing
The apartment's prime location by the ocean and proximity to restaurants and stores are its standout features. However, cleanliness was an issue as I observed numerous hairs on the floor. The Vacasa team's prompt response and willingness to rectify the situation showcased their commitment to customer satisfaction. They truly excel in their service.

It would be nice to have bar height table and chairs for the lanai so the rail isn't always in your view. It would be nice to have other hooks and towel rods in the bathroom. Then vent/fan in the bathroom is really loud. Would be nice to turn the light on in the bathroom and not the fan.Need more outlets in the room. The extension cord outlets were very loose and hard to get to. The lanai door was very hard to open and the handle is loose. The view was beautiful from the lanai. Great location. We had to deal with smokers in 354 even though there are signs and you sign a contract saying no smoking on grounds. Front desk was of no help.

The Islander is in a good location and it has a laid back vibe. I'm familiar with the property so I knew what to expect of the location and amenities (thumbs up for those). This unit; however, needs some serious cleaning attention. Upon check in, the bathroom sink was clogged, there were spiders at the ceiling corner above the front door (in the room), the bathroom door had dirty handprints along the edges, there are tiny sand-colored ants that make their way to the dining table, and there is mold on the framed photos, portions of the walls, and on the drapes to the sliding glass doors. Maintenance was able to clean away the spiders and unclog the sink (turns out the pipe was filled with sand from prior guests). But, these are things that should be noticed and taken care of by house keeping during cleaning. I will stay at the Islander again, but not likely in this unit.

Beautiful Beach Front Location
Condo, was right on the beach. You could hear and see the waves right on the Lanai. Condo, could use a little upgrade, but was very comfortable. The grounds at the Islander are beautiful, and the nightly Tiki Bar at the pool was wonderful to have.

Great Value
The unit was clean, the bed comfortable and it was nice that 2 beach towels, beach chairs and a little cooler bag were available for use. The complex is a bit dated (and a little worn from the sea/salt exposure), but the waterfront view is awesome. Nothing fancy but the value is great and it is in a great location to go anywhere on the island in not too long a drive. Plenty of places to get food if you don`t want to drive too. Check in was easy, we didn`t have any problems while we were there. Kitchenette is small but allowed for us to keep perishables in the small fridge (worked well) - we used the gas grill down by the pool.

Pretty good
Overall fine. Price was cheaper than the property`s hotel owned units. Great location, directions for check in clear via email, etc. Some extras were available like beach umbrella and chairs,& yoga mats, which was nice. Overall pretty clean, but some items should probably be replaced due to age and wear and tear, like a discolored toilet seat. Shower curtain had a strong sour mildew smell, so needs a very deep clean. Pillow had a mildew smell as well, but i flipped it over and it was ok. Shower has very little water pressure and shower head should probably be replaced soon. Was told a reasonable amount of paper products would be provided and then I`d have to buy the rest on my own. Well there were two toilet paper rolls for a ten night stay for two people. That`s a bit unreasonable in my opinion.

Perfect!!
The location was great! Everything we wanted and needed was easily accessible. Our balcony faced the beach and had an amazing view! I will definitely recommend and hopefully visit again soon.

SIXTH trip to the Islander
Dealing with Hula Now and staying at the Islander on the Beach is one of our favorites parts of coming back to the paradise of Kauai. Would HIGHLY recommend!

Mixed Feelings
The view is fantastic, the location is great,the bed is very comfortable, the landscaping on the property is lovely. Unfortunately the room itself is old and tired, definitely needs a refresh. The sofa was grimy, cleaning utensils were left in the bathroom, there were long black hairs in the bathtub, the safe was broken and there was no instruction binder. At one point we asked for some more soap and were told we only get a starter kit. We tried to change the garbage and there were no garbage bags in the unit. We asked for more and were assured we would receive them but we had not by the time we left to come home.

Great location
First -We loved it was on the beach with nothing obstructing the view (other than a few trees)! Such a beautiful view!! It’s not a luxury condo with fancy frills, but it met all we wanted for our stay. Somewhat outdated (older cabinets, shower pressure was so-so, and the smoke alarm was disabled) but it was clean and quiet and that was what was the most important to us. The gardens are BEAUTIFUL. We were very happy with the price for all we got. The bed is nice and very comfortable! Air conditioner worked great, which was a must for my husband. There’s beach chairs and an umbrella provided, as well as a soft sided cooler. You have to walk 3 flights of stairs as there’s no elevator, but we didn’t mind that. Shopping and grocery store nearby was such a nice convenience!! . We loved eating at the next door restaurant, Lava Lava, our favorite restaurant we tried in Kauai!! Cocktails at the pool tiki hut was also a huge plus (strong and tasty!). I would DEFINITELY recommend this place if you’re on a budget and want a great location overlooking the ocean!!!
