Entry instructions were not provided before arrival, so I had to contact Vacasa for the passcode. The delay caused us to miss a reservation. The beds were uncomfortable, and the body wash was nearly empty. I always stay on this property when visiting Kauai, but will likely seek a different host in the future.

Property was as expected with room to stretch out a bit. Very convenient as it was within walking distance of the beach, pool, shops and restaurants.

Nice clean room for a quick weekend trip. Property was nice from what we saw but didn't really use much of it. The view of water is between 2 other buildings but the patio was nice to have coffee on in the morning. The only thing that was frustrating was we arrived later at night and had a hard time finding somewhere to park.

Right on the beach!
Resort right on beautiful beach with a great walking path.if you want to tour the island a rental car is a must . There is a plaza with a few restaurants and stores right by the resort.

Clean room and great location
We stayed a week in this room. It was very clean and had a view of the beach. The property was gorgeous, and the location was steps away from great coffee and restaurants. We had a little trouble with the WiFi, but the vacasa team was super responsible to help us figure it out. Would definitely stay again.
We nicknamed this small studio condo our “Beach Shack”. Nothing fancy but the oceanfront location is amazing, especially falling asleep at night with the sound of crashing waves. There’s a nice patio for reading or internet (which worked fine). The small complex was much more quiet than a hotel. Great beach swimming in the area.

For an older middle budget place this was great. 24 hour perfect hot tub. Excellent hot water in the room. AC worked great. Good fridge. Perfect towels and linens. Right on the beach development, but Maui building is somewhat offset. Nevertheless you can hear the surf! Swimming pool was beautiful and clean but too cold for me to swim. Parking is a bit of a challenge, but always something available regardless of the hour. Desk staff very helpful. Locked out of the room, yet the Vacasa team fixed the problem at 11 pm on a Sunday. Outstanding service.

Nice but difficult to access.
The unit was comfortable and clean, nice balcony with ocean view, but a drawback was its location on the third floor of a three-story building with no elevators. We are in our 80s and found having to go up and down those stairs several times a day a discomfort, particularly with our luggage. Anyone who would not want to hear a rooster crow dozens of times a night should avoid this location. If you do rent this unit, bring utensils as this supposedly fully stocked kitchen had not a single utensil.

This is a nice, quiet resort just before you get to Kapa'a, 12 minutes from the airport. It's about 35 min back to Poipu and 45 min to Hanalei. Lydgate beach park is only 5 min away. The resort is situated right on it's own beach which is okay for swimming, subject to the waves. The room was nice, clean and well furnished. You can see the ocean from the balcony. This originally was a hotel that sold off rooms as "condos," so they're not large, although the bathroom was ample sized. Everything was in working order. A previous review mentioned no utensils, but they are actually in drawers under the sink (weird). Be aware, the listing states two "double beds," and they are indeed, smaller than queen size. There are two beach chairs in the closet to take on your adventures around the island. There were ample loungers around the pool and on the beach also. Between the highway and the resort is a small outdoor shopping center with a market, souvenir shops and 3-4 restaurants. Two nights we walked over and ordered to-go and just ate on our balcony. Well managed by Vacasa, we had good communication before and during our stay. If we make it back to Kauai again we will definitely consider this resort and room again.

Perfect place
This spot is lovely. The Islander condos seem to attract a pleasant and reserved clientele. Just what we wanted. Beautiful grounds and a lovely pathway to walk along the beach. We enjoyed being on the third floor which gave us privacy and a nice, though limited, ocean view. Everything both inside and out was nice and clean. Kitchen facilities were pretty basic but no matter because the Sleeping Giant Grill is just downstairs and we enjoyed many dinners here.

A little bit of heaven.
I had a very enjoyable stay here. I was back to Kauai after visiting last Oct. with my husband. I lost him in June so I returned to the place we loved so much since 1977. So this was a very special trip for me. I knew I wanted to be in Kapa`a in a centralized, safe place. Everything was perfect. It is adjacent to the Coconut Marketplace which is very convenient for shopping and places to eat. I really wanted an ocean view, which I had from the balcony just as pictured. I could hear the ocean all day and night. It was a wonderful 8 night stay. The kitchenette was handy, as well. Just one note of warning, this is on the third floor, and there are no elevators. It was hard hauling all my luggage since there is no one to help. Oh! I forgot to mention the pool. It sits right near the water. It was an enjoyable spot to rest after a full day of sightseeing. There`s a bar that opens in the early evening. Loved this place!

close to beach
My family rented 3 units in the same complex so we were able to compare our rooms. #370 could use a thorough deep clean (floors especially) and did not have as comfortable mattresses as the other two condos. However for two nights it was fine. the great points are that it is really close to the beach, really close to a nice market for meals, has a pool with a bar, and even a few floaty toys in the closet. For our stay there was plenty of seating at the pool. The beach was red flagged as too dangerous for swimming and you really can`t take a long walk on the Beach before you hit impassable debris. this is much like a large budget hotel room in a great location.

Our stay at Aston Islander on the Beach in Kapaa
We have visited Kauai several times and each time have stayed at Islander on the Beach, sometimes in different units. The location in Kapa`a is convenient for driving either north or south on the island, with stores, laundry, and other facilities nearby. We had actually reserved a different unit for this trip, but ended up requesting a move to 370 when we arrived. We had stayed there a few years back so were familiar with it. Staff on the island and on mainland did a wonderful and expeditious job of facilitating our move to 370. We are very appreciative of their effort. The unit is clean, functional,and well maintained. Great garden view with small view of ocean, but you can hear it. The overall complex is quiet and relaxed. The fact that most of the balconies don`t face each other adds to a sense of privacy. We look forward to returning.

Nice Spot
The complex is in a good location on the island. You can easily walk to multiple restaurants and get groceries in addition to endless beaches. The room is simple but sufficient for what we were looking for.
