Great Condo
Very clean and very nice furniture. upstairs actually has two foldouts that can be used for beds for kids. The walk to the slope would be tough for someone not in decent shape, but unlikely you'd be skiing if that were the case so not really an issue.

Check in issues and broken dryer
Beautiful condo and view but we were surprised to find that on checking none of the beds were made and the dishwasher was not unloaded (this would have been ok if someone had mentioned it but we didn’t even know the extra dishes were in there). I kept wondering why they didn’t have any coffee mugs. The washer was full of wet smelly towels and we figured out this was because the dryer was broken. We wrote Vacasa multiple times to get help with this and kept being told someone would come up the next day to repair but nobody ever came or called me. We contacted the realty company directly and were able to go down the mountain and get our own clean towels thankfully but had no way to wash annd dry anything the entire stay. Unfortusnktu when skiing you don’t bring multiple sets of the bottom warm layers so we really needed to wash that stuff for everyone but it would not have dried hanging up in time. Also when we tried to poke a window upstairs because of the intense heat up there when running the fireplace, the window was not attached on one side and got stuck open and would not close. Overall we still had a great time and thought the condo was beautiful. It was a little challenging to keep the unit warm without running everyone out of the upstairs with the high heat in that open space so it’s not as usable as we had hoped. The communication with Vacasa is what was the most disappointing and no follow up on the repair issues while there.

Birthday trip
We booked this home for my daughter’s 13th birthday. It was a short drive to Sugar Mtn Ski Resort and Banner Elk. Navigating would have been a little difficult had there been snow or ice but that is to be expected when you visit mountain resorts. We could see the ski lifts and slopes from the large balcony. The home was clean, beautiful, and in a quiet area. We did have a small water leak from the upstairs bathroom and someone was there to fix it within 30 minutes. We would definitely stay here again.
