Welcome to The Lake Escape, a charming lakefront cottage perched above the sparkling waters of Clark’s Hill Lake (Strom Thurmond Lake). This peaceful retreat offers 3 spacious bedrooms, each with its own beautifully renovated en-suite bathroom—perfect for families or groups seeking comfort and privacy.



Soak in the breathtaking views from multiple levels of outdoor decks or unwind in the expansive screened-in porch, a guest favorite for morning coffee or evening relaxation. The home features a fully stocked kitchen, soft, comfortable linens, and lake towels ready for your adventures.



Cool off with a refreshing swim right from the private boat dock. Feeling adventurous? Paddle out in our canoe or one of our kayaks—choose between a single or a double. Have your own boat? Bring it along! Or, for the ultimate lake day, ask us about renting our Pontoon Boat.

The house was great with a nice dock for the kids to swim around. The house was stocked with all the necessities. I would definitely recommend this and would love to come back!

5 star all the way!!! Amazing, clean, updated and stocked with everything we could ask for. It was perfect for 2 families and in a nice and super friendly neighborhood. We brought our dogs with us and they loved fetching the ball from the shoreline and swimming as much as we loved swimming right off the dock. We also spent a lot of time on the screen porch starting with coffee in the morning, all our meals and cocktails, and games in the evening. Thank you for a memorable weekend; we will be back!

Perfect Location

Our group really enjoyed our stay for Labor Day weekend! Perfect location close to boat ramp, fishing spots, and beach. Plenty of room on the dock for both our boats and ample parking in the driveway for boat trailers and cars. Very clean house with plenty of space, LOVED the screened in porch.

Just Perfect

Just returned from our stay at this house. Was absolutely perfect for our family gathering. The bunks were a little challenging to get into and out of, as they are intended for small children, but we slept well as the mattresses were very comfortable. Everything we needed was right at our fingertips!!! Thank you so much!!!

Perfect and peaceful family stay.

This property is a perfect lake home. Trey has thought of everything that you could possibly need. He responded immediately to any questions that we may have had. We rented his boat. Trey made sure the boat was docked and fully gassed for us. It had virtually everything we could need on it. We spent endless enjoyable hours on the water. He even sent us maps of lovely beaches that we could boat to and important things such as marinas and the closes grocery store. Our family will always remember our trip to Modoc South Carolina. We certainly will be back. Thank you Trey for sharing your lovely home with us.

Our lakehouse adventure was a soul refreshing vacation in a beautiful attention to detail environment. The home is cozy with lake front views throughout, a screened in porch, and each renovated room has its own spa like bathroom. We spent a lot of time at the private dock fishing and enjoying various kayaks and canoes. Thank you for a weekend full of new memories and a time relaxing as a family.

Perfect spot for us to enjoy time together on the water….. Beautiful home….well maintained and comfortable. Lots of outdoor opportunities in the screened in porch, multi deck locations and the covered pier . We would highly recommend this property if you are looking for a place to stay in Modoc.

It's hard to imagine the amount of work that was required to get the cottage ready after the storm. Really fine effort to make it available and pleasant. Thank you. We had a new born great grand child and were able to visit and meet him as well as golf and fish. All wonderful .

Great Lake House! Wonderful views!

I rented this lake house for my father’s 92nd birthday. We had 7 adults from 28 years old to 92 years old. It was perfect! Wheelchair accessible through out the house. My father had a wonderful birthday! He thanked me all weekend. My nephew used the kayak and enjoyed exploring the lake. Our favourite place was the screened in porch and we stayed out there every day. Meals and playing cards. My father stayed in the back bedroom with his own bathroom and the excellent view of the lake. The bunk beds are for children and nobody slept in them. We slept on the comfy couches and my nephew slept on the porch couch. It was a fabulous weekend! Thank you for the lake house! 😀
