Big Country Cottage

I loved relaxing in this 2 bedroom house. I am 77 year old woman and comfortable, practical accommodations near Riverton airport with car rental waiting for me in airport parking lot is just what I need. I attended a book retreat and rode all over Wind River Arapahoe lands. Then came home every day to this home with trees , views of the snow covered mountains and outdoor deck sitting to relax and absorb the blessings of the day. Cudos to Jen and Randy.

Perfect!

Our experience at the county cottage in Riverton was one of the best I've ever experienced with VRBO's. Location is perfect, very country but close to town, quiet and peaceful. plenty of critters, rabbits, deer and lots of birds. The property was quaint and country right down to the clothes line which I personally loved! The host and hostess could not have been more gracious and accommodating. The cottage was very clean and welcoming. This is a place I plan to use again and will recommend it to all my friends and family.

My Husband grew up in Riverton Wyoming and has lived in Fremont County his entire life. I grew up in the Wine Country in California and moved to Riverton in 2009. We love horses, and have saddle horses and teams and we love to do rustic wagon trains. We hunt, fish, and camp in our spare time and love all that Wyoming has to offer.

Why they chose this property

We bought this old farmhouse and spent two and a half years restoring it—working evenings and weekends after our regular jobs. What began as a passion project has turned into a wonderful vacation rental, and we truly enjoy welcoming guests from all over the U.S. and even a few from around the world. Some have become regulars, returning again and again, which has been incredibly rewarding for us.

Just minutes from downtown Riverton, this home is nestled in a quiet, safe neighborhood with beautiful views of the Owl Creek and Wind River Mountains.
