“What an amazing little slice of heaven. The cabin itself is cozy, well-designed, and perfect for a couple's getaway. Waking up to a beautiful view of the lake was nothing short of dreamy. It was an absolute bonus to be able to bring our fur baby with as well!” – Recent review.

Everything about this cabin was fantastic! The welcome gift was a nice touch, too. I love finding cabins that allow us to bring our two dogs. Thanks again for a great stay!
The cabin was very clean with a beautiful Nordic design. It is small but worked wonderfully for the two of us. Had everything we needed to enjoy a peaceful week on the lake!
This was the perfect place for our wedding night! Our venue was about 20 minutes away and it was really amazing to get right into nature for a relaxing getaway. The amenities are so cozy yet modern. We loved staying here and can’t wait to come back for our anniversary!
My daughter and I spent 5 days at this adorable cabin in September. It fit our needs perfectly, it was clean, well thought out for the provided activities and in a good location for hiking and exploring. Our hosts were helpful and very accommodating. This place will definitely be at the top of our list to visit next time we plan a stay in this area.
Lovely location! Quiet, and perfect for a lake get away only an hour away from the metro. Everything was very cozy, clean and comfortable.
Fur babies enjoyed the lake and trying out paddleboarding. We enjoyed it very much, and the hosts were very gracious.
This cabin and location were perfect. Only a 60 min. from the Twin Cities, yet a remote central Minnesota lake experience. We enjoyed sunning and canoeing on Goose Lake, and also hiking nearby at the St. Croix River. The cabin is simple, clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. We hope to make a return trip.
We planned out trip from Calgary, AB and all communications were easy and we were able to make our plans without any issues. We had a lovely time getting much needed R&R. The location is perfect, the cabin was perfect. I love to cook and the kitchen was perfect for cooking!! Thanks!
My boyfriend and I wanted to celebrate our 2 year anniversary somewhere special and we found this cabin and it was perfect! It is so beautiful and cozy on the inside, we loved being able to listen to vinyls and play board games by the fire. The kitchen is absolutely gorgeous and has everything you need! The views are stunning from anywhere in the cabin but especially the bedroom! it was beautiful to wake up to the sun coming in through the windows! great place and will stay again in the future!
This cabin is wonderful. The views of the lake are really beautiful and even though the water level is a little low this year we still were able to get the canoe out and paddle around the lake. We saw lots of different birds & some huge fish splashed up out of the water. We brought our dog along and she had a really wonderful time splashing about too. I would definately recomend this as a place to stay. It's close to Cambridge & other attractions if you don't want to spend all your time on the water. Very comfortable & peaceful place to stay, I wish I were still there.
All positives on the cabin and the hosts. The hosts were very responsive, the cabin was ready and they even left us nice gift. The cabin was very clean and looks to be newly remodeled. It was perfect for my wife and I to have a quiet weekend. Lots of piece and quiet even on a busy Memorial weekend with other cabins close by. No big tourist traps around but not far from some bars/restaurants and A winery. They have a turntable with a solid record collection too. If you're looking for quiet and quaint this is a good choice. I'd go back for sure.
The property was very clean and had everything we needed for a quiet weekend away for my partner and I with our dog. They left us a few treats that we snacked on during our hike at a nearby hiking trail. We were looking forward to having a bonfire with the bundles of wood included in the stay, but it rained while we were there. Luckily, the little fireplace provided a cozy atmosphere while we read books and finished puzzles.
I rated the check-in process as 4 out of 5 because we had the wrong code for the electronic front door, but Melissa was able to resolve the problem within 15 minutes. Once we had the right code the keypad was super easy to use and everything about the property and the host were 5 out of 5.
When you pull up to the property it doesn’t look like much but don’t let looks deceive you. This little cabin is so cute and cozy on the inside and is supplied with pretty much everything you would need. It is extremely clean and has modern appliances- washer, dryer and dishwasher- they even provides supplies for them. There are games, a canoe, a kayak and 2 paddle boards for outdoor fun. For relaxing in the evening there are two fire pits- one by the house and one down by the water. There is also horseshoes, cornhole and other games to play. The air conditioning works great - which is a big plus in our eyes. The hosts are welcoming and very responsive. I highly recommend staying here.
We're Brian and Melissa, welcome to the Goose Lake Getaway! This cabin has been a labor of love and we're thrilled to offer you a uniquely Minnesota experience. We manage every detail of this property and we hope that care comes through. We have curated a cozy and relaxing cabin that we hope you will love as much as we do!
Why they chose this property
We moved onto a lake about 3 years ago and fell in love with lake life. From boating, paddle boarding and kayaking in the summer to snowshoeing and ice fishing in the winter - our goal is to offer those same experiences to others!
