Nestled on the heights of Deshaies, a small fishing village in the north of Basse-Terre and located right next to the Botanical Garden, the Gîte Bois Cannelle welcomes you in a warm family atmosphere conducive to calm and relaxation.

Favoring quality over quantity, the cottage is made up of three wooden bungalows which can each accommodate a maximum of 3 people, a large salt water pool with a balneotherapy area and private parking.

Depending on the season, you can enjoy the many flowers and fruits in the garden, enhanced by the song of the birds which are sure to visit you.

The room was absolutely spotless and had a lot of places to store my overpacking. The bed and bath are indoors, and the kitchen/table are outdoors. I was able to walk around barefoot both indoors and out without encountering any grit, unbelievable for a beach vacation. The kitchen is equipped with every imaginable convenience, and the room was just really comfortable. It was clear that the lovely and helpful hosts, Anne-Sophie and Alain, had thought about and anticipated guests' needs, e.g. large drying rack for beach stuff, mosquito netting (not needed when we were there), good lighting, a safe, a well stocked kitchen, an outdoor shower by the common pool. We visited in January and thought we would need bug spray, but didn't despite wet weather. To get to restaurants, a car is best. Though the town is pretty close by, I would have felt uncomfortable walking the narrow and windy road, though we saw a few intrepid pedestrians. And yum, a boulangerie up the road. Yum. The area itself felt very safe, and there is a safe in the room for valuables, though it didn't feel necessary. Minor cons: There is enough parking, though the lot is narrow and may require some maneuvering to get into a spot if you are a bad driver like me :) The wifi could be stronger. I didn't have a consistent signal in bed on my phone, though my husband's did better. The signal was fine at the dining table. My husband said he heard some traffic in the mornings. Overall, spectacular stay!

Gîte situé à proximité de la route mais dont les bruits ne nous ont pas gênés - la propriété est composée de 3 gîtes dont la proximité n'était pas aussi évidente pour nous lors de la réservation (bruits, odeurs de cuisine, légers vis à vis à travers les palissades) - le gîte mériterait d'être rénové (ventilateur cassé, poubelle qui devait être changée dans la semaine (cela n'a pas été le cas), oreillers fatigués - literie correcte, moustiquaire un peu laborieuse à installer - espace kitchenette un peu juste pour cuisiner - terrasse agréable - accueil plaisant de la propriétaire qui s'est montrée très disponible et très réactive à nos différentes demandes au cours de notre séjour - et, hélas, présence en masse de moustiques, la météo ayant été particulièrement humide.

Gite très confortable et très calme. A proximité du bourg de Deshaies et des plus belles plages (véhicule obligatoire tout de même), et à 100 mètres à pied du jardin botanique.Couchage très confortable, terrasse extérieure du gite couverte , donc à l'abri de la pluie, et sur laquelle il fait bon se reposer dans le hamac et prendre son petit déjeuner ou son petit rhum, avec la chorale nocturne des grenouilles ou le rêveil des sorophiles rouge-gorge.La gentillesse exceptionnelle et la disponibilité de l'hôte rajoutent au magnifique séjour que nous avons passés.JM

Nous avons été accueilli par Anne Sophie et par un petit planteur . Le logement est idéal pour 2 personnes rien ne manque pas de vis à vis avec les 2 autres logements. La piscine et appréciable le matin ou le soir ainsi que sa douche extérieure. De plus Anne Sophie est de très bon conseil pour nous faire découvrir Deshaies et ses alentours.

Un petit coin de paradis

Très beau logement entouré d'une végétation luxuriante qui en fait un petit havre de paix. Tout dans cet endroit appel à la détente ! La literie est très confortable et la décoration soignée. Très bon accueil egalement, nous y retournerons avec plaisir !
