From ski-in/ski-out access via the Cascade Lift to relaxing in the private hot tub, your family and friends are sure to make life-long memories during your stay at 11 Middle Rider.
Upon walking through the front door, visitors are greeted by a welcoming living room with a wood burning fireplace as well as a Smart TV. Guests are encouraged to make use of the dreamy chef’s kitchen, fully stocked with everything you’ll need to cook a fabulous meal with friends or family and gather around the dinning table and bar top with seating for 10. In addition, the main living area displays an outdoor patio with deck furniture and a propane BBQ grill, perfect for apres-ski or warm summer nights. There is also a large mud room, a half bath, and heated 2-car garage with boot dryers and ski racks ideal for a day on the slopes. When it is time to relax, choose between the main living room or the downstairs TV room with a game table.
When it is time for to retire for the night, five bedrooms are perfectly designed for everyone’s needs. The main level provides a master bedroom with a king bed and full bathroom (includes a jetted tub) as well as an additional king room with en-suite bathroom. Downstairs the bunkroom includes a twin bed with a trundle option as well as a full under twin bunkbed and en-suite bathroom. The final two bedrooms share a bathroom and have a king and queen bed. On this bottom floor, there is also a laundry room with premium appliances for guests use and through the TV room, you can access a beautiful deck area with an outdoor fireplace, furniture, and hot tub.

Big Sky`s Town Center is only a short 10-minute drive away, where guests can find additional options for activities, restaurants, retail, and local escapades. Looking for other things besides skiing and snowboarding while in Big Sky? Be sure to check out dog mushing, Nordic skiing, snow shoeing, a sleigh ride dinner at a local ranch, go on a snow mobile tour, or check out Yellowstone National Park. In the summer, choose from fly fishing, horseback riding, local ATV tours, hiking trails, rock climbing, mountain biking, wildlife viewing, golfing, white water rafting, weekly farmer`s markets and free concerts. One of the best parts of this location is the proximity to Beehive Basin, truly one of the most scenic hikes in Big Sky.
Nestled in the scenic heart of the Madisons, Big Sky, Montana, offers an unparalleled base for year-round adventures. Located just an hour from both Yellowstone National Park and the vibrant college town of Bozeman, this charming community is perfectly positioned for exploration.
“Basecamp to Yellowstone” at Big Sky Resort serves as the ultimate launchpad for outdoor enthusiasts. The resort's Adventure Zipline is particularly thrilling, featuring four lines that span up to 1,500 feet and soar 150 feet above the forest floor, offering breathtaking views of Lone Mountain and the Spanish Peaks. For a more relaxed experience, the Nature Zipline provides a scenic journey suitable for all ages.
Big Sky Mountain Village, situated at the base of the resort, boasts a variety of shopping and dining options, making it a convenient and lively spot for visitors. Additionally, the charming Town Center of Big Sky is rapidly developing, offering a burgeoning scene of local shops, eateries, and cultural attractions.
Whether you're seeking exhilarating outdoor activities or a peaceful retreat in nature, Big Sky provides the perfect setting for your Montana adventures.
Ski Instructions:
Ski Out: From the garage, walk directly forward to the groomed trail, then proceed down the trail across Middle Rider Road and onto the groomed access below. Follow this trail (labelled with small green signs with “B” on them) down and to the left until you go through the tunnel to the White Otter chair lift. Ride White Otter to the top and cross White Wing to follow signage to the Big Sky Base area.
Ski In: Follow White Otter Access to the rope tow for the Cascade. Take the Cascade Lift to the top and climb the stairs to a groomed trail (labelled with small green sign with “B” and parallels Beehive Basin Road) that will take you back to Middle Rider Road (make a quick left onto “D” trail and 11 Middle Rider will be directly left – the house is very close to the turn so don’t miss it ). Not recommended for snowboarders or young children as the ski in/out are about 10-15 minutes long depending on snow conditions. The home is not ski in/ski out if Cascade lift is not running. The start date for Cascade lift varies, but typically early to mid-December. Access lifts may close before Big Sky Resort's closing day depending on snow conditions.
