Condo from your worst nightmares

Cockroaches!!! Found them the first night I arrived. I called the property management office, she asked which type of cockroaches did I see. Does it matter?! There are cockroaches! Management could only refund me the unused nights or send me to another condo that is smaller & had less beds. There would be no other compensation even though I paid for more space & beds. Unfortunately, my mother would be staying with us & I have 2 young kids so it would be difficult. Management had maintenance spray for bugs which they still crawled after spraying. I tried to salvage as much as I can for this family vacation but most condos were already booked or the prices have increased since I booked this condo about 4 months ago. I struggled with trying to make the best of the situation while my wife felt like I was wasting too much precious time in finding other accommodations that we decided to stay. Shower to master bedroom was the only updated area of the condo. Cooking utensils were dirty & pots had flimsy handles. Condo just felt neglected. I went to my sisters’ condos that they rented & they were so much nicer than mine. Their rentals felt more upscale. I was sad about this but made the best of the vacation as I can. Also had to make sure there weren’t any cockroaches trying to fly back with us at the end of the trip. Overall, I would not come back because of the management’s lack of accommodations & empathy as well as the condo’s outdated amenities & facilities & cockroaches
