About this property
Art collector's sophisticated home
Overview
This newly renovated, warm, bright, open and airy 1500 square foot, 3 bed/2 bath home is beautifully furnished with selected antiques, vintage oriental rugs, and original art. Large sliding glass doors open on to inviting patios with artfully landscaped and lighted gardens beyond. If you care about interior design, good light, quality furniture and fabrics, and how a space feels, you'll love this home! The 3rd bedroom can be converted to an office, if needed.
Location
The home is located on a quiet cul de sac with friendly neighbors who walk their dogs and families who pull children in wagons. Mature trees keep the area cool and green.
Entry
An inviting private courtyard, with shade loving plants in big terracotta pots, welcomes you to this artful home. The teak bistro table is the perfect spot for morning coffee amongst the birdsong and rustling leaves above.
Kitchen/Living/Dinning Rooms
The new contemporary, open plan kitchen has quartz counter tops, an induction range, a peninsula with seating, and plenty of prep and storage space. Everything you need to prepare meals and entertain is provided.
Vaulted ceilings, skylights, and a big sliding glass door that leads to lush landscaping fill the living area with light and green. A vintage Eames leather reclining chair, antique oriental Heriz rug, and collected art pieces add sophistication and style. The TV is has Xfininty Cable and a Roku for streaming.
Original art, oriental rug, vintage 1940’s pewter bar cart, and over-sized Schefflera plant bring dramatic flair to the dining area. With windows on 3 sides, this room gets beautiful light. The 8’ sliding door opens on to the patio and landscaped gardens beyond, further enhancing the indoor/outdoor connection.
The hall niche has plenty of hooks for coats and bags, a place to take off your shoes and stash them out of site, and baskets for loose items. The linen closet at the end of the hall contains plenty of extra towels, sheets, and housekeeping supplies.
Bedrooms
The primary bedroom has a vaulted ceiling and skylight, making it feel open and airy. An antique Japanese screen depicting a serene village scene hangs above the king size bed, and custom pillows add color, texture and pattern to the bespoke linen bed cover. Another vintage oriental rug, this one in muted tones so as not to compete with the screen, feels plush under foot. The ensuite, primary bath has a shower, huge mirror, and a window that brings in natural light and fresh air.
The 2nd bedroom has a queen bed, thick wool oriental rug, and playful art and drapes. There is plenty of room for clothes in the large dresser and closet.
The 3rd bedroom has an iron 4 poster, single bed with extra-long mattress that comfortably sleeps an adult or child. The colorful vintage oriental rug and wooden shell console table bring artistic flair to the space. The large sliding glass door, which brings in beautiful dappled afternoon light, opens onto a patio with bistro table and feathery leafed Podocarpus shrubs. This room can easily be converted to an office and makes a beautiful place to work with the slider and patio.
Patios & Garden
The patio, with its potted orange tree and planter boxes, has a stylish sectional covered in striped fabric. The up-lighting and Italian string lights make the garden magical in the evening. The dining table with its umbrella seats 6, and there is a bar table for 2. It’s a very special place to hang out and have dinner with friends and family.
The professionally landscaped and maintained gardens provide color and texture, enhancing the sense of calm, natural surroundings.
