About our stay
Positives: The property is beautiful! The house is modest but very well maintained. We loved the neighboring beagle's welcoming us to the house. (We called him Mr. Puppers.). The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms roomy with lots of hot water and good water pressure. The HVAC worked great - very comfy for the warm weather we were experiencing while we were there. If we could have taken the house and put it 20 miles closer to Kahite - it would have been perfect.
Not so positive: The property was advertised as 10 miles from Kahite golf course. In reality it was 17 miles which because of the windy narrow roads took us 35 minutes one way! The location is VERY remote. We were there visiting other friends who lived very near Kahite - so it was challenging driving those roads after dark not knowing the area. We really didn't spend a ton of time in the house except to sleep and shower and we spent hours just getting back and forth in the 3 days we were there. Another issue was WIFI - it was not reliable and we were not able to get any TV channels after the first evening we were there.
I realize that there are many who may be visiting TN who would love to be disconnected in a remote area where there were no devices connecting them to anything. That is not us though. That said - I think it would be good to alert future guests that this property is really off the beaten path so they are not surprised.
